Don't know about anyone else but the alarm button on the key fob for my BS is SO sensitive that i find the alarm going off all the time just while it is riding around in a front pocket! Home, work, out to a restaurant.... the dang thing keeps going off on me. Honestly, i'd like to throw the thing in the woods but that would open a new set of problems for me ? None of the other buttons seem to be activated as easily as the alarm/panic button...

Now, i find myself taking the fob out of my pocket and leaving it on a desk, table, countertop.... and NOW i need to remember where i left the darn thing instead of just knowing it is in my pocket!! (if you had my memory, you'd understand) And.... yeah, i know.... first world problems... :D

I have experienced similar key fob issues but with my Edge which has the power liftgate. I have had the liftgate open from the key fob in my pocket. Luckily it did not happen while in the garage with the garage door closed. When home I keep the key fob in the same place like a small basket so I know where it should be. When it is in my pocket it is the first thing that goes in the pocket and I try to position the fob in a way that the buttons will not be pushed in by something else in the pocket while moving around like keys that might be attached to the fob. I have an apple phone so I also keep an AirTag attached to the key fob to help if I do not remember where I put the key fob down.

Do you have 2 key fobs. If so, try the other one.
Yep... tried both... same situatoin... i just have to modify my standard practice which, after almost 45 years of driving should be close to impossible ?

Yep, i'll likely end up doing the same and go the airtag route as well... just what i need, more technology in my life :cwl:. Home isn't a big deal, there are only 2 spots i ever put my keys down. Work and out in a restaurant or public place... this'll be fun. My wife is already tired of me handing her the keys to put in her bag, when we are out together!

The other reason I like the AirTag is when I go to the dealer for service and I have to leave the BS it is another way to track the keys along with tracking the car using Ford Pass.

I have a supermarket keychain card that I keep closest to the buttons. It helps. I wish Ford had recessed the button as they did the lock button. There was a post on this forum on how to disable the alarm. This is the first car I've ever owned that had an alarm, and after 55 years driving, I'm pretty sure I don't need it. Besides, we all ignore them because they go off all the time by mistake. I tried a case, but the oversized fob just got way oversized with a cae on it.

I carry the Explore fob in my front pocket but make sure the buttons are facing my leg. The Bronco fob is on a snap link and hook to a belt tab

Was having a similar issue, but in my case, carrying the fob in my pocket would mess up the programming to the point that my lift gate latch wouldn’t function until the fob was reintroduced to the lift gate. Have pretty much solved the problem by purchasing one of these fob covers from Amazon. Sorry, no link information. ?

I have the same issue and bought a cover. This reduced the problem but didn’t stop it. Ford needs to redesign the Fob. I never have this issue with GM fobs.
