I keep reading about these things on different forums. The F150 guys are losing their minds because the 2026 F150's will have 18 horsepower less due to the addition of GPF.

I don't see what the big deal is. The GPF is in the catalytic converter(s). All you need to do is replace them with some high-flows cats and the problem is solved. Most people won't even notice the drop-off in performance.

GPF’s were only to be installed on BS’s in CARB-compliant states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.

To date, I’m unaware if they have actually been getting installed yet for those states. Thankfully, Arizona repealed its CARB statute, along with Florida.
