Just another $6k transmission replacement...

No--I ate the entire $6k. The dealer said that they had already gone to Ford several times recently, and were reluctant to go back to them for this one. They also said they were reluctant to make the case for me because I did not purchase the vehicle there. Now that my vehicle's back, I'll be contacting Ford directly to see if they'd be willing to do anything. And thank you for your concern about my whereabouts, Thomas. I have a busy life offline, and I'm not able to lurk on this forum like others.

What did the selling dealer say or did you involve them? They should be going to bat for you.

Just a note on transmissions. I have a 2021. At 65K I had the transmission fluid replaced and it was extremely dirty. I'm getting it replaced every 30K now. Not sure if that would have helped your situation but FYI.

You started a conversation because you have an issue and would like input. We try to offer you suggestions by asking questions, but you seem to be unwilling to participate.

I have had transmission issues and the dealer wanted to replace or rebuild the transmission. I fixed the issue myself.

No, that is not accurate. While I appreciate the input on this thread, my very first sentence in the thread was, "This post is just to indicate, for the record (if anyone's searching)… " As an example, my catalytic converter was cracked, and it was very helpful to see how common this was on this forum. I made note of my transmission issues here just in case anyone else was suffering with the same problem, and wanted to see how common this was.

Why wasn't the original dealership where the vehicle was purchased not contacted? Perhaps you moved from that location?
