I did order from Granger.

So, despite actually living in Denver, I have friends/family in Des Moines, so for the deal they were able to make me and their reputation, it was well worth (and easy) making a trip out of it.

Phone tracing had my rail car arriving in Kansas City, MO last night around midnight. NS has been giving the most detail with CSX giving nothing and UP had some sparse details. UP used to mention Princeton, IN but doesn't anymore; now it just says Missouri. So, hopefully it's just shooting straight up to Des Moines from there soon.
I lived just outside of Des Moines for awhile as a kid, so flying into Des Moines and driving home will give me an excuse to take a road trip and drive by my old neighborhood and see how it’s changed.

Mine is sitting 10 miles away because only the sales manager has access to any information or can do anything and he’s off for the weekend. TriCounty Ford in Buckner KY has pathetic customer service and communication practices.

So, out of the dealer’s control? Meaning my frustration and anger are misdirected. I should still be POed at @Ford Motor Company

Basically you're in line waiting for space on a truck with a driver. It's a very local/regional thing on how bad the wait will be due to local employment conditions. My Bronco spent 11 days on the train then sat for 12 days at the auto ramp waiting on a truck to come the last 4 hours. Your dealership can talk to the regional rep, and they might be able to lean on the road carriers, but they normally will only do that if something gets lost or forgotten. The fact that yours is pretty much within walking distance has to be super extra frustrating. Ford will not let dealerships pick up vehicles from the ramp otherwise I'm sure your dealership would just go get it for you.

Soon you will be driving your Bronco and the memory of this will fade away. My auto ramp location also had vehicles from overseas so lots of trucks coming and going. A worker shortage on top of that. I know the wait is long but no one really knows how long an order will take. It's just a guesstimate they give you when you order and that includes the shipping. If I was Ford I wouldn't give people access to all this tracking information as it becomes stressful for the consumer and a burden to the Ford employees. Who wants to spend their days answering chats/calls all day when there is other work that can be done? I like to spend my time at work being productive and this would be a sucky job.

Thats why when mine shipped I did not track it.
Unknown delays Ford does not know dealer does not want to answer questions every day ect would drive me nuts.

At one point I decided to get off this forum stop looking at tracker and just go find something else in life to focus on. Otherwise these delays and lack of information will drive a person nuts if they focus too much on it.

It certainly drove me crazy so I threw in the towel and just went off and focused elsewhere.

Ford won't do nubs they have tens of thousands of ppl waiting on delayed vehicles. Dealer isn't going to do anything every single day they are flooded with calls asking where is my vehicle. This whole global world wide vehicle shortage debacle is a massive mess with no end in site. Its pain I know mine sat in Mexico 5 months so I lived it.

I should note that I didn’t even try to track my Bronco. I figured it would be June (6 months) before I got it. I was in town running errands when my salesperson called and said it was being off loaded. I drove it home that evening (4months).

The following is my sarcastic Opinion.

Fastest way to get your Bronco. Fill the gas rank on your trade vehicle. Karma will jump right in make sure you don’t get to use the fuel.

I quit filling my F150 in January. I made it a point to not fill it up. I suggest keeping your tank below half. It might not make a difference, but you never know.

Well, I sold my vehicle the day after my modules went live. I work in a school and didn’t need the transportation immediately this summer (could drive my husband’s F-150 in a pinch). The BSs built days before mine had already shipped and I never dreamed this whole situation would have happened.

I’m just frustrated at all of the communication issues. My dealer has around 10 sales people and very low inventory (approximately one vehicle on the lot per person). If the sales manager had any initiative, he would be training them in how to support this “new normal.” Customer service, including frequent, ongoing communication with buyers who have online orders is one thing that would help them build their customer base.

Very difficult process to go through yes. Ford doesn't tell dealers much if anything and dealers do not want to staff up to handle the flood of all the where is my vehicle questions.

Long long before COVID Ford commonly built vehicles put in storage lots to let sit and kept dealers customers in the dark. So this isn't anything new to Ford its just more frequent due to supply chain issues.

Just be glad it didn't sit down there for 5 months like mine. On big Bronco forum units built in January are finally being delivered.

I know for sure that it could be worse. When I found out about the microchip hold (one month after they knew it was the issue and lied to all of us that it wasn’t) I was fully prepared to either wait for months or buy a Jeep. I went with Ford because they were the only manufacturer who didn’t take bailout money two administrations ago.

what do you mean tag the car with their name? Like their badge on it “Riverside”?
unfortunately I don’t think there will be a way around it, I live in a very small town and all of the dealers are owned by the same family. It is technically a dealer ordered vehicle because they wouldn’t do it under my own order. ??‍♀

Place the order online, that might help. You can also travel a bit to go to a bigger dealership. When you build your vehicle online you can choose which dealer it sends the order to.
