Noticed on the 22 Outer Banks I saw the other day that my 2021 has, no ambient light in the cupholders, no temp display on the climate control knobs, no folding rear headrests and of course, no engine cover. Don't know if it's all of them or just a supply issue. I'll keep my 21.
My 22 has ambient light.

Also makes me laugh how many people care about an engine cover on this thread.... what a small thing to whine about

That is the only model that has them OB .

Actually, I was just in my car, and I realized that there was no light in the cup holder. I could've sworn there was, but there was nothing. That sucks.

What's wrong with the gray roof?
*Glares*
Shadow black and a Grey roof is not a shadow black. If the plant is getting that bad I’d be worried about more serious assembly mistakes.
I’d start to question buying any Ford products from that plant.

I think it's more supply chain issues than anything else.

I would be surprised if any body parts are from outside vendors. Ford does make some of these car parts from “scratch” and do more than just assemble pieces from other manufacturers. The body parts generally fall into that category and then the paint is done in-house as well. That is kind of the area that car makers specialize in, the chassis.

Running out of paint and going with a grey roof ? That sounds like bad QC.

The base color is carbonized gray. They didn’t add the carbonized gray roof in my case, they just “forgot” to add the shadow black over the carbonized gray. Still a QC issue though in my opinion but I doubt a supply chain issue.

I’d be like, Ford, I’ll take it home as soon as you finish the paint job I ordered.
Now give me a free loaner while I wait so I can leave my trade in with you. It’s my down payment and I wouldn’t want to loose it in a crash…

No cup holder lights in my Bandlands. But not a deal breaker. Can always add them aftermarket. I have a friend that works for Ford. Before/After … aftermarket
Ambient lighting is not a standard or optional feature on the Badlands. In other words, you can't get ambient lighting on the Badlands so the wiring is probably not there for it.

The problem was, I never even noticed it! One of the members here was the one to break the news to me!
