So it’s not the Helmholtz resonator sound.
its thumping
here’s a weird analogy…
I had a Saturn once, you know plastic body… if that car was dented, you could pop the dent right back …
Now do that a bunch of times. That’s the best I could do to describe the sound.
it’s like there’s air between the headliner and the roof and it’s flexing. It’s not normal.
Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Bronco concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.Hello! I am new to this forum. Just purchased a 2021 and I notice that there is a strange thumping noise inside the car when the drivers window is open, and even when the other windows are open as well. It sounds like the headliner is making noise. Does anyone know what this is and what I could possibly do about it?
Thanks for any help!

Please let us know how the correspondence with the Ford Company messenger works out. Obviously, many of us are curious if you get a solution but it has also been debated on this forum if they actually help. Curious minds want to know!just messaged you
It’s coming from your rear vents.
What rear vents/Where are the rear vents located? It’s coming from your rear vents.
Open the hatch, look to your immediate left and right - they look like speaker grilles. Vents are located behind the body panels. What rear vents/Where are the rear vents located?

today I was driving and I had Windows rolled down. I heard this noise and thought there was plastic wrap on my roof. Then realized it’s when I drive and wind hitting the ceiling of bronco! The noise started at 20 to 35 mph.Hello! I am new to this forum. I've been hearing this thwumping in the rear trunk area ever since I drove the car off the lot. I thought I was imagining things. But it sounds just like air going in and out through the flap of a vent. When driving through some very high winds a few days ago, it was much worse. I came here to research and I'm so relieved to know it's not just me! Whew!! So, stupid query time, what are these vents for?Open the hatch, look to your immediate left and right - they look like speaker grilles. Vents are located behind the body panels.
