Does the whole panel not have any power, including the ambient backlighting at night? The lighting comes from another source. The control function is tied one module, the lights to BCM.
Honestly never noticed only ever paid attention to there being no air haha

Here are a couple things you can check yourself

1. Now that you know the location of the exterior and interior ambient temperature sensors:

note the outside air temp being displayed on the 8” display - does the actual outside temperature seem to match what is displayed?

Have a person inside the vehicle watching the HVAC digital controls, turn on the AC and set the temp all the way down to LO.

You go outside with a hair dryer positioned in front of that external temp sensor and have your helper tell you when the displayed temp exceeds 75°F.

note what happens.
Does the digital temp display turn off or remains on?
Does air (fan) operate or air stops flowing?
Does cold air flow or stops?

2. Similar but for the interior ambient temp sensor but for this test you’d have to start where the HVAC is working.

note what happens when you increase the inside temp with the hair dryer

in both cases above, try to stop the hair dryer at below 85°F displayed or hotter is up to you if you feel comfortable heating up higher using the hair dryer

does the above sound reasonable to you?

I will definitely have to try that i gave my techs that suggestion but they seemed concerned about heating it up and causing more issues. Thank You!

Here are a few things to ask the tech that replaced the b part # HVAC module

These are in no particular order …

1. Did the tech examine both sides of the connections to the newly installed HVAC module (connector itself and the connector on the HVAC module)?

Including checking for signs of corrosion, loose pins, or melted insulation?

2. Did the newly installed HVAC module require software to be flashed and calibrated? But I don’t see how that could cause the HVAC to stop working at 75°F outside temp.

3. Ask the tech to look for known HVAC and climate control issues with early Bronco Sport models, check for Ford TSBs related to HVAC screen blanking or ambient sensor malfunction, check for known issues with HVAC logic failures at specific exterior temperatures.

4. Discuss thermal-caused (at 75°F outside temp) effects on the wiring/hvac module, discuss possibility of a fuse failing at that temperature.

5. Ask the tech if a heat gun was pointed at the hvac module itself to raise the module above 75°F and while observing the HVAC continues to blow cold air and the digital controls operate as normal. If it wasn’t done ask if the tech will do that at no charge or if it should be ok for you to do that (again be careful not to go too hot with a heat gun or hair dryer).

6. Warranty. Normally Ford Dealerships will warranty their work and the replaced module (parts and labor) for one year. If you are still in that repair warranty period, ask if another hvac module can be installed at no cost to you.

Yes … me too. That’s why I suggested stopping at 85°F and if you decide to go hotter with a heat gun or hair driver to be aware you could cause more issues

Yes he checked, yes it was programmed, I've been keeping an eye out for new tsbs associated with hvac issue since its been happening, we've sort of talked about the issues he's confused about what it could be, is doing alot of it probono and Ford helped with only 75% of the payment so I still have to pay almost 400$ on this part alone since this is the first time its been replaced.

Here’s a heat gun with variable temp control but it’s not in the range you want (you want around 75 to 85°F) and a hair dryer gets pretty hot too

I am not sure how you can get into the temp range say 75 to 85°F … where I live it won’t go below 90 to around October maybe but you are in Washington I think based on your profile

Just be careful and good luck !

That’s good, well there are a few other things in my prior post to discuss with the tech

I’ve seen the video showing how that hvac module is replaced … ita nightmare of steps

Several owners of 2022 and later Bronco Sports wanted the digital temperature controls and actually replaced their module with the b part you have - we have never seen a report like yours of the hvac failure you are having

Ford discontinued the digital temp controls (on the dials) starting with the 2022 models or maybe later in the 2021 model year

I hope you can keep us informed

my guess is you are done with the vehicle and will either trade it or move where it never gets above 75°F

it’s actually kinda fun (for us, not you) to
think about ways in which the hvac can fail as you described

but we also want to know At above 75°F if the cold air stops blowing and the blower fan shuts off or just the digital temp dial stops working

that’s a big clue if so

I dont want to get rid of it my husband mostly does to stop having to worry about it. I love my car and I just wish my other dealership would have taken it more seriously like the one im at now and replaced parts until it worked when it was under warranty

My tech who's working on it now also thinks its fun and wishes he had it when it was under warranty to do just that, but doesn't want to charge me a bunch to do so

Does your Tech know if at above 75°F when the AC was on did the cold air stop blowing and the blower fan shut off or was it only the digital temp dial stopped working and hvac controls became inoperable?

Not sure we haven't messed with it too much in that way. Just know when its hot outside it doesn't work thats about it
