I tried to search the forum and my owners manual for this, but got no results.
Is there a way to see the tire pressure in the dashboard or in the vehicle display screen?
I can see it on my phone in the Ford app. And the app says to read more accurate values check your vehicle display... I tried to find it there in the settings and all but was not able to find it.
Any ideas?

I think you go to the one with the picture of the Bronco Sport. Hit the button with 3 lines on it or something. Then you can choose between tire pressure, oil life, and a couple of others.

A related question -- at what psi does the TPMS give a low pressure alert?

I just got a flat on a loaner Big Ben a couple of weeks ago. I think the tire pressure monitor alarm went off and the screen read about 26 psi from what I remember. The message stayed on the screen in yellow and the pressure continued to drop until I found a safe place to stop. By that time the pressure monitor read 8 psi. The picture on the screen showed all 4 tires and the tire pressure for each one so I knew it was the front passenger tire that was punctured.

I think its relative to a few PSI. Since the sport is programmed for a specific PSI. I've had it go off a few times in the winter around 28 PSI.
I was wondering because while I usually am pretty compulsive about checking tire pressure, I had been slacking -- in part because of relying on the TPMS -- and when I checked them they were all about 28 psi. There was no low pressure indication.

Of course it can't be set for 31-32 psi because there would be frequent nuisance alerts. I was thinking it might be set for (say) >10% low, maybe 29.5 psi, but IDK what's normal. The Badlands is our first vehicle with TPMS.

This post says TPMS looks for a psi difference between tires
https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/new-tires-new-pressure.8355/post-147206

I don’t know for sure because I saw a diff post that stated the TPMS light comes on at a specific psi (don’t remember the value, was like 27 or 28 psi).

The rest of this post is copied from the owners manual and is a bit vague, I can interpret these two paragraphs where one states the light comes on at a specific but unstated psi value and another paragraph stating the light comes on when there is a delta psi:

“The low tire pressure warning light will turn on if the tire pressure is significantly low. Once the light is illuminated, your tires are under-inflated and need to be inflated to the manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure.”

“How Temperature Affects Your Tire Pressure
The tire pressure monitoring system monitors tire pressure in each pneumatic tire. While driving in a normal manner, a typical passenger tire inflation pressure may increase about 2–4 psi (14–28 kPa) from a cold start situation. If the vehicle is stationary overnight with the outside temperature significantly lower than the daytime temperature, the tire pressure may decrease about 3 psi (21 kPa) for a drop of 30°F (17°C) in ambient temperature. This lower pressure value may be detected by the tire pressure monitoring system as being significantly lower than the recommended inflation pressure and activate the system warning light for low tire pressure.”

Country specific:
Device: 315 Faraday TPMS Sensor
Supplier: Schrader/Sensata
Type Designation: AG2SZ3

I did some trail riding the other day and aired all of them down to 25lbs. I didn't get any warning.

I'm pretty sure it compares psi across the axle.

Is there a way to adjust the tire pressure reading on the dash to correlate with an actual tire pressure reading with a handheld gauge?

Good question!

It would be nice to have the ability to calibrate the TPMS with a known accurate gauge.

FWIW, we have a relatively inexpensive aftermarket TPMS on our RV and it is spot-on.

I should compare the reading in the Badlands with my gauge. It may be accurate as-is.
