@MoFoCo yep I agree pushing the recirc button on should keep it on but I get why Ford, Subaru and other manufacturers shut it off - it’s a safety thing. Btw with AC on Recirc shuts off when it decides to.

Agreed. Too many nannies. Should also be able to permanently turn off lane keeping and off auto stop/start in vehicle settings.
I'm still indifferent on how I feel with the nannies. This is my first car with all the "nanny" stuff but I've driven my mom's late model CR-V a bit.

In the Honda, I had to take it to Houston once and had someone get in front of me then slam on their brakes. The car was braking about the same time I was but that made me realize some of these extra features are probably helping to save some accidents. If I had blinked, scratched, took a sip, something that would have added to my reaction time, I may have run into them.

Now, on my BS, the only time the emergency braking has alerted me (no braking) was when a car was turning but I had plenty of time and didn't need to stop. I did turn off the intelligent cruise control because it picks up school zones and feeder roads when I don't want it to. The TPMS also alerted me to a flat tire before I realized about it. I ran over a really thick fastener on the highway in heavy rain. It caught my PSI went down about 10 lbs before I noticed something was up. Dropping that fast told me something was definitely wrong.

Anyone tried Forscan for this one? I'm new with Forscan and when I connected last night looking for this, I had no idea what I was looking at? so I disconnected without changing anything.

There’s no known FORScan procedure for that

I miss being able to manually select heat or air, but still being able to turn the fan on regardless. If it were brisk enough outside you could turn the fan on and it would just blow outside air inside on those days when the A/C would make it too cold and too windy for the windows to be down :cwl:
