235/65/18 is 1/2" taller than 245/60/18, that difference could cause a rub in certain circumstances (wheel turned and suspension compressed). 29.5" tire diameter (245/65/18 is 29.6") is about as big as you want to go without risking a rub at the extremes. Those extremes don't just happen off-road as you could be turning left and go through a drainage dip in the road (or pothole). You should be pretty safe with the 245/60/18 at 29.6". I think that other OB owners have used this size without issue.@Falken QA I'm planning to keep stock height (no lift) on my Outer Bank and keep the factory wheels and use the Wildpeaks. I see that both 235 65 r18 and 245 60 r18 should both fit without issues. Is there any appreciable difference between the two sizes that would make a difference for everyday driving?
