Right? That's a joke. None of that stuff is ordered to a MIL spec. The only stuff that is, is actually used as military cladding/armor. That's just a hot word used as a marketing ploy. Oh hey 5XXX alloy is used in tanks, oh 5XXX alloy is used in my car/truck...

I work for an aluminum manufacturer. I hate seeing that term thrown around on everything - or "Aerospace grade"...
Aerospace grade! Lol taking my Sport to spaaaacceee biotches!

Wow, best of luck with the repairs. Had some hail in WI a week or two back. I was driving in HEAVY thunderstorms and heard pinging on the windshield. Noticed a church up ahead and pulled under the granny port to wait out the hail for 30 minutes. Made it just in time as hail about the size of a grape started falling, so the church most likely saved me from this!

In all seriousness though awful. That is a total bummer.

Did you say $11000? Seriously?

sounds about right, The civic 25 years ago had 10k....was only worth about 5k at the time. There wasn't a body panel on it without damage, except the doors. Even punched a perfect circle (but not break) in the windshield.

not enough to write off for the bronc sadly, hopefully they can make it good as new again...

Man that sucks! 11 grand, wow. I feel for you, we had a hail storm here in NC last year and it did a slight pickling to the roof of my Mazda CX-30, very slight, you had to be in the right light.
