Front fender fabric liner.

I thought the same thing, I stop every 4 days (after my last work trip for the week) and hit the car wash. surprisingly everything comes off pretty good. I soak them with a pre rince, well I soak the whole car, then soap then rince. I am surprised how well the wheel wells clean up because when I bought the car, I was thinking it was going to be a nightmare

Has anyone tried spray-on bed liner or FlexSeal spray (rubberized coating) on the fabric liners? I know some one mentioned it ages ago on the forum, but never heard of anyone actually doing it. I keep toying with the idea, but haven’t gotten up the guts to try.

I've done it. Does seem to make it a bit easier to clean. Plus, makes them more durable.

So it warmed ip to -9c today and I tried to wash the salt snow and ice off the underside. I spent $15 and gave up, that fuzzy front wheelwell liner had a death grip on the ice and snow packed in.
It never dried up enough for me to spray some silicone or something on that liner but I will be ready when it does.

I’m thankful for a heated garage. And soaking wet garage floors.

That fabric coated crap has no place in any vehicle destined for any use off purely paved roads. It collects dust and dirt and requires gallons and gallons of water to remove.

Plus, it allows ice and snow to build up in the wheel wells in the winter and it just clings to it rather than falling off, like it did with the old smooth plastic liners. .I have this on 4 vehicles across 3 brands and it sucks on all of them!

NVH or not, I'd have happily paid extra for non fabric liners. I'd just turn the radio up a notch to compensate for extra road noise.

BTW.. all four of mine are made of this crap in my 21 BL.

Also thankful for a heated garage. Spent last night rinsing and rinsing and rising them after everything thawed out!!!!!! Now I have to clean the garage floor!!!

Just recently got our Big Bend w/Black Diamond Off-Road Package. I've been scouring the internet to see if there's any aftermarket options without any luck.

If no one has tried this yet (rubberized coating) or tells me not to for any good reason, I will try it out. I was thinking rubberized coating on the inside fender well (nearest the tire), and maybe some sound deadening spray like Boom Mat on the top side (engine compartment side of the fender liner).

I'll report back here if I end up doing it.
