I know what you are saying. I got the VIN number by calling Ford directly as my dealer was useless. At least the order is correct. As far as when it actually shows up at the dealership, it’s anyone’s guess at this point.

What did you need to get the VIN from Ford? My dealer has been completely useless and gives me no info. I tried calling Ford marketing but they insist that I at least need my dealer order number to get the VIN.

I just gave them the reservation number. I did have the order number as my dealer sent me the pdf copy of the order confirmation in the very beginning showing the four digit customer number in the corner, apparently that is the order number with Ford.

Ah. He sent me the order paper before submitting it. So it says this order has not been submitted to the order bank but it also has a section that says order code in the upper right. Is that what I need?

Mine showed up at the dealer today and I'm going to pick it up in an hour or so. For all my jealousy over your ability to track your vehicle during the shipping process, I may end up getting mine first despite much later build/ship dates.

It should be a four digit number titled as Preview Order or Order Code.

It says DIO on the window sticker but I didn't think about the fact that we never discussed the crossbars until after the dealership closed. I had something else to follow up with them about tomorrow anyway, so I'll get it sorted out then.
