Hello. I have a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks with the 1.5 liter. It only has 17,000 miles. I asked my husband to change my oil. He advised he found that the oil pain bolts were wet with oil. He inspected more and found that the oil leak was coming from the timing chain cover gasket. Or from the rtv gasket maker they used. He also found that the transfer case was leaking from where the cv axle inner joint connects to the transmission. Also, the transmission oil cooler may have a leak as well.

We took it to the dealership and they are going to fix everything under warranty. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Also, we sold our 2003 Ford Escape which had a timing cover gasket leak to get this vehicle. So kind of rough to by a new car with the same problem. Ford is still Using RTV gasket maker on timing chain cover gaskets?
Transmission leak was discovered on my 2023 Bronco Sport when I brought it in for an oil change at 16k miles. The dealer also found the water pump leaking which is a know defect. They ordered a new water pump and will address the transmission leak at the time they replace the water pump.

Sorry to hear that. Our vehicle is still in the shop. Ford has offered to buy back the vehicle. Haven’t got an estimate on that yet. Good luck to you.

I have been through a Ford vehicle buy back. There were a couple of options including Ford reimbursing the purchase costs that would have meant starting a new purchase from scratch. I opted for a Ford vehicle swap that basically was MSRP to MSRP and resulted in the least amount of money out of pocket. My vehicle was so new at the time there was no adjustment for mileage.

Thank you for sharing. Yea we are worried about the mileage adjustment. Our vehicle has about 17,000 miles on it. We have warranty repairs going back too when it only had 10,000 miles. So I don’t know what mileage they are going to go off. This whole situation is not ideal. Hoping for the best outcome.

Hoping at least some of that was covered by powertrain warranty but I’m guessing was not

There is no transmission pan on the 8F35 transmission. You might want to ask for your money back.

It all was covered by powertrain except the gasket on the exhaust coming from the turbo.

And for those of you who are wondering there actually is a "Pan" on the 8 speed transmission. its not on the bottom, its on the side of the transmission and Ford calls it a cover. It bolts to the side of the transmission housing and it has a gasket just like a "Pan". That's what was leaking transmission fluid.
