Ford Battery Recall - #25S02

Don't disagree. But you can put it on a charger and have a reasonable expectation the car will start, or...not.

I don't have a garage and I have yet to have an issue starting and it has been below zero on numerous occasions this year alone. If you have to put it on a charger, either the battery is not being charged sufficiently, the vehicle isn't being driven enough or the battery is toast. I also have a riding lawn mower with an old Focus battery I had that sits out during the winter months. When spring comes, then I put in on a charger for a couple of hours and at least for the past three years, it hasn't failed to start.

Again, I don't disagree, but until you can get the problem diagnosed and fixed--likely with a new battery--you can put it on a charger, or...not.

Put it on a charger when it's cold.

I did a couple times when it was real cold around Zero and Below. The one coldest day the Charger was on for a few hours and it still cranked pretty slow but started. The other times it's cranked over fine even when the System Off To Save Battery Pops Up.

I still haven't received a Notice yet mine is a 2023? But yesterday it was 30 degrees and when i started it System Off To Save Battery came up again on the Stereo Screen.

Here’s another option… Ford offers free charge (and check) of your battery and at the same visit will check your VIN for recalls and will check that the battery part # for the battery installed in your car applies or does not apply to the recall. See an earlier post for the (likely) battery part #

The Vehicle Car Seat Tire and Equipment came up but IIRC The State thing didn't come up or where you put in 12345678!! I'll try again Thanks

I used a different Internet Browser and i got it to work 2 Unrepaired Recalls Came up The BCM Module and the Windshield Wiper Motor nothing about the Battery Came Up.

And even though Ford is replacing the batteries for free, the class action lawsuit alleges the 12V battery recall "amounts to tens of thousands of hours and dollars needlessly taken from Plaintiff and other Class Vehicle owners."

I don't get the point of this lawsuit. Ford is (purportedly) replacing defective batteries. The plaintiff in this case is claiming--seemingly without evidence--that replacing the battery will not solve the problem of a defective battery. How does he know? Does plaintiff expect Ford to replace the battery AND compensate him for his time?

Seems that is the case. Further the plaintiff stated millions in compensation is requested for the loss of a few hours of time. Just seems pointless and frivolous.

Check it periodically, if the battery recall does not come up than its, possibly, not in the same group of cars delivered with Camel Group LA defective battery.
