My Outer Banks has the run flat tire kit. So where the spare tire would go, I have the foam tray that holds the kit and the tow hook key. Does anyone know if you can get that tray out? My hope is that hook holding it in is the spare tire thread. I want to take the tray out and potentially install the jbl spare tire sub.

Yea just pull it out of there and see what's underneath. It's the same body so there has to be the threads under there. You could probably order the other foam inserts (that are installed with the spare tire) and install them on the outside of the spare then

I removed thefoam tray and purchased a donut spare and jack kit for my 2025 OB. it all fits fine and room for storage of other items. Didn't like the idea of only having an air compressor for a flat tire.

I just purchased a spare tire, jack and wheel wrench and hold down bolt. Got it all on EBay for a neighbors 2025 BS Heritage. Everything I purchased came out of a Bronco Sport as well. The Foam is just held down by the plastic Christmas tree push pin. The threads are in the bracket for the tire hold down bolt. A Ford parts department salesman told her on the phone "Sorry sweety you can NOT add a spare tire to your Heritage, it won't fit under the floor panel." When she told me that I was like CHALLANGE ACCEPTED! It fits perfectly and the floor panel even installs in it's lowest position.
