Looking to get an oil thread going for your favorite and recommended motor oils for the Bronco sport. Anyone?

Kendall Full Synthetic 5w30 is a favorite for me, great price and had good luck with analysis end of it.

I've seen some recommendations for Castrol Magnatec for Ford Ecoboost engines.

I do wonder how Shell Rotella T6 would do as it worked great in my WRX.

Shell Rotella T6 is some good stuff. I've used it before too when I had an Focus ST. Supposedly, the T6 has good shear resistantace , good for direct injection vehicles like the BS with respect to fuel dilution.

for the northern folks...as I patiently wait for a build. I've always followed recommendations. This was interesting and something I've honestly never done, but will certainly consider it for my winter changes as we have a month or two close/at -20 most years. Also by habbit put enough oil in the filter to saturate the fibers and have a little extra for the startup. little wipe on the rubber gasket for a good seal.

I have always used Motorcraft Synthetic Blend 5W-30 in the 2013 Escape with 2.0 EB. We still own the vehicle. Has 186,000 miles on it. Zero engine issues. Change oil when the oil life monitor says to change it.

Always use a Motorcraft filter

Except for me and my 1.5L will do a 5,000 mile interval with the Ford blend 5w20 factory recommended because of the wet belt and turbo. AT FORD ONLY..
Not concerned with Max engine life as over my many engines and often very often 400,000 mile per engine with no failures or engine repairs experience with 10,000 mile full syn oil service intervals I know what works.
Twice a year I will give FORD $39 every 5k. This is cheap insurance.
As I am retired and will trade before 80k miles from now on I see no reason to spend more on full syn.
Penny for anyones thoughts ?

I used same for 2.7EcoBoost F150.
Full synthetic oil runs 5-10 degrees cooler.

I just got Mobil 1 5-30 full synthetic. Same thing I ran in previous vehicles. Be sure whatever the oil you choose is rated API SP or better.

Also note that the 1.5 and the 2.0 use different oils with different viscosities.

Oil threads seem to always take the path of a cluster f***, obviously everyone has an opinion on what they think is best for some reason or another, and someone always has a buddy that blew up an engine using oil XXX, why bother. Just choose an oil that meets Fords requirements and call it a day.
