2021 Bronco Sport, 27k miles, the factory tires are shot already, apparently no warranty, as the rear ones wore funny.....why??? Alignment issue......alignment issue on a new vehicle? Sorry, only warranted for 12k miles......the service manager at my local dealer pretty much said the factory tire are cheap, only start with 8/32 tread......so I guess I am looking at 1100 bucks for new tires plus alignment.......(sigh)

I'm a fan of Michelin tires, as I've had sets on my F150's for years. You can't in good faith blame or call the tire crap for wearing out prematurely for alignment issues, as any tire will wear out quickly due to alignment woes.

I buy those "lifetime" alignment deals at a tire store, then I take my vehicles in every 4 to 6 months to get my alignment money's worth, sooner if I see uneven wear.

I have 32k on my stock Primacy tires. No abnormal wear, but they are worn and pretty shot as well. Can feel it in handling and this past winter traction. I’ll be replacing this summer when I find a good enough deal.

$1100 for new tires? Where you buying your tires?

BTW, OEM tires are not designed to last. They are a softer compound than found on the equivalent tires you buy yourself. Some can make them last longer, some can't. Depends on driving style, conditions. etc.

27k out of stock tires? Quite lucky.

All I ask is that you buy something a little cooler to correlate with the coolness of a Bronco Sport.

@Jst617 mileage on factory tires is an ongoing debate on many other forums as well. The general consensus is that the tire manufacturer contracts with the automobile manufacturer to cut cost on factory production. Any aftermarket tire will have the advantage of a mileage promise and should last longer depending on tire brand. Michelin makes many aftermarket, high mileage tires and is a solid brand.

We got 45K out of the OEM Bridgestones on the wife's Escape. I'm over 15K on the OEM Falkens on the Badlands, and they still look pretty good.

EDIT: I just measured the tread depth on the Wildpeaks. They are at 5/16". They started at 13/32", so I've used 3/32" of tread for nearly 17K miles. If you divide 55,000 (warranted mileage) by 13 you get 4,231 miles per 1/32" of tread. I've used 3/32", which equates to roughly 12.7K miles. Based on this, it appears I'm on track to get the advertised 55K out of these tires.

They have to be better than the stock Hankook tires that came on my F150.

I just hit 40k on 21,Outerbanks. . I started using my car for work, so i see lots or repetitive road. Its been a month and my front tires are WORN! Like a car from the 80's. These were factory. On the one hand i just want a cheap replacement deal that will last. On the other hand i wanted cooler looking wheels. And thats going to be more than 1100. So now im in a pickle.

Fractions...too much fractions. Gotta find the common denominator to work with fractions.

My head would hurt back before the days of the internet, where today you can get this all done with a Google.
