Do 2023s Come With Windshield Wiper De-Icing?

Just curious if the 2023s come with windshield wiper de-icing, as I don’t see it listed on Ford’s website.

Not sure if it’s something not offered anymore or just an error on the site.

I believe the first model year had it.

What does it actually do and how does it work?

Sorry, I've never had a car with wiper de-icing.

I just flip my wipers up off the windshield so they don't get frozen to it.

I may be old fashioned but I've never had windshield wiper de-icing. I turn up the heat and turn on the defroster. Obviously if there was lots of snow on the windshield, I would brush it off and let the defroster do the rest. If there's new technology on my 2022 Bronco Sport I would like to know about it.

It's a heating element in the bottom of the windshield. The switch would be the blank switch in the bottom row of the climate controls.

We were recently discussing what went there on the Escape forum. My guess was wrong.

The thread on the Escape forum has a picture of controls that have the switch.

Just for info for hackers, lol.
Maverick Lariat Lux package has this heater. It shares the outside mirror heat switch, both on at same time.
It requires this windshield designation with heat wire embedded in glass.

I hope this remains the same on all 2023 models in Canada. Standard de-icing on all trims.

Yeah, according to the order guide, only the Outer Banks trim level gets this feature. It doesn't appear to be available on the Badlands, even in the Premium package.

Unless it is shipped to our friends up north of the border. Then everything gets that option base , big bend , outer banks ,badlands , and first edition .

All models in Canada are required to have it , state law . I might be incorrect saying state law , and for that I must apologize .
