Hi again! 2024 Bronco Sport Big Bend. Here's the deal...I'm sitting in my Bronco while my husband goes into the store. I turn the ignition off to wait...the display stays on and it won't go off unless I open the door and close it. What am I not doing? I can turn the radio off or mute it, but I want it to go off until I restart the car. Just a small irritation...

The screen is only staying on for a short time as it is designed to do so (probably 10 or 15 minutes I think)

But opening the door will turn off the screen so you are doing what you need to do

Not as sarcasm in any way, but you need to sit down one night when there is nothing on TV and read the owners manual. It descries the features of your Bronco sport and how they interact.

The infotainment system is programmed to remain powered up until you open one of the doors. Here's another thing most people don't know: You can turn the infotainment system on while sitting in the vehicle without powering up the car's electrical system. Press the power button (middle of the volume knob) and the system will power up for 30 minutes--assuming your battery is in good shape. This will allow you to listen to the audio broadcast at a drive-in theater without turning on accessory power.

Sarcasm is accepted anyway, I can take it! Oddly enough, I am a total manual nerd! I like them and I like reading them...this large volume of a manual and small print was enough to drive me batty-er.
