just noticed last week a small ping pong ball sized dent right under tailgate window andthe only thing that makes sense is when putting a couple grocery bags in the back through the window, a Gatorade bottle hit it. So if that’s the cause of it I’d say yes this shit dents easy. Trying to figure out if I want to take off the tailgate interior panel and push the dent back out haha.
You can try with a heat gun or hairdryer on hottest setting first. Heat a bit, then hit it with cold water or the co2 from an upside down compressed air can. Might work. Some of my hail damage came out on a hot sunny TX day.
I'm waiting for the hail season to be over before I submit for insurance repair.

I don't have dents, but paint chips in the same two places. Somebody posted the paint is cheap from Mexico and chips easily.

Everything is "cheap" and we get what we pay for with an economy SUV. For what they charge you'd expect more but green earth crap etc forces so many constraints. They make NOTHING like they used to. I have my dad's old craftsman circular saw. Full metal body. Thing will last longer than me. Mine is the 90's edition and most of the exterior is plastic. It cost more than my dad's did...dollar for dollar. But, inflation, materials, regulations etc make the modern saws junk and disposable in comparison. Ever wonder why Ford discontinued the Escort line?

Dents suck. People suck. Especially parking lot people. You can do your best to park in the boonies and when you come back out, you'll have three more friends. The first dent is the toughest. You have two options. Use the machine, which means going out into the suck and getting dents. Option 2 is to park it in a bubble in a barn where it doesn't flood or tornado and only natural depreciation eats at it.

If this machine dents easy, it sure doesn't crumple easy. I have seen plenty of impressive post accident photos where Bronco was hit by runaway speeding distracted drivers and still drove off.

Yeah, got hit in rear today while I was stopped at a light. Guy slowed (locked up his brakes and tried to swerve), so the hit was kinda’ glancing off right rear. Only damage was scraped bumper, paint transfer to bumper and a scuff on paint under tail light. fortunately he didn’t even break the reflector lens. Guess mine’s still ”Ford tuff”, but not a “cherry” anymore.

UPDATE: washed it up today; bumper damage okay. Found a couple pits in windshield from flying rocks. Not tailgating—came from big rig in next lane as I was passing—great Calif freeways. Guess when I travel it should only be late night/early morning ?

I’m going to take as much care as possible of my 23 OBX but I’m kind of looking forward to getting the first inevitable dent so I can stop looking for it. 10 years from now there will be lots of dents and scratches in the car.
