Delivery Delay Mystery

Ordered a Bronco Sport Big Bend, ordered 4/30, built 8/27. It has been stuck in a rail yard in Chicago Heights for 6 weeks. Anybody get confirmation from ford or dealer that they won’t deliver until engine is fixed? Customer service and dealer not helpful on this. So far all I got from Ford is this Hat for being sorry for the delay.

Went to my dealer Wednesday for the shifter bushing recall on our '14 Escape. Was talking with finance guy and said my wife is excited about her build date scheduled for first week in January.

We were talking about when it may show up here.

He asked what engine. I said Badlands, so 2.0. He said that's good right now.

It might be held at yard for fuel injector leak recall. Ford prob trying to line up parts to fix it. I don't think Ford tells dealers anything. So unfortunately its an unknown wait time.

I am concerned about this, unfortunately that would mean my car would be stuck in Chicago in a parking lot for the winter. I hope that is not true

Seriously? A hat? It looks great and all and will keep the sun off your neck...but you can't drive it.

The Hat is great but looks silly while driving my old Camry, has anyone who is waiting for delivery had an updated delivery window, or have actually had a delivery in the last 3 weeks?

You might even get more swag if you have to wait longer. I’ve gotten a flag, hammock, calendar, posters, and other miscellaneous items while waiting since 2020 for my full size 2 door. It’s nice they are know you are waiting, it would be nicer if you didn’t have to wait.
