I drive only in Sport and there's no fake sound. You're hearing the engine rev higher because it holds the gear longer rather than changing gears constantly.

Editing cause I looked it up and I guess the 2.0 with the B&O does have a fake sound if you have the speakers turned on. I wish mine did.
