I often don’t drive my 2025 Sport for over a week.
It then goes into Deep Sleep Mode.
What are the pros and cons of using a trickle charger versus driving it so it uses the alternate to charge the battery ?

Pros is your not putting miles on it or using gas purely to charge the battery

cons is if your battery is as low as you say, it’ll take a long time to bring to 100% with a 2 amp trickle charger.

i permanently installed the noco genius 2d due to my drive to work being only 12 minutes which isn’t enough drive time to get battery to charge a meaningful amount. I plug it in 2 nights a week or so.

Thanks for the good information.
Good to see I’m not the only one with what I call a big problem.
I have a 5 amp trickle charger and I installed a quick connect cable.
I just charged the battery today.
It took 6 hours.

I use the same Battery Charger/Tender. I recommend: Connect the negative lead to a clean chassis ground (not directly to the battery's negative terminal) to ensure the vehicle's Battery Management System (BMS) or current sensor accurately tracks charging.
Also, unplug the Tender from the wall outlet once a week for ~30 minutes. This resets it from maintenance ("tickle") mode back to full charge mode when reconnected.
This helps maintain optimal battery health, especially in vehicles with BMS monitoring.

On this topic, I'm headed to Japan for three weeks this October, and the BS will be sitting in the garage untouched the entire time. Suggestions on best all-around charger/maintainer to leave plugged in and connected the entire time?

Also, I could also get a smart outlet to completely disconnect the charger on a set schedule if that's a better way to go.

Or, should I just get a jump pack and have it ready for when I get home and plan on a long drive? ;)

I don’t trust plugged in electronics left on for lengthy time periods, i probably would just disconnect the negative cable
