Haha sorry for the delay every one ??so I think we left off last with the dealerships BS offer and then telling me they did everything they could. So I was set on going elsewhere or even looking at other vehicles. A day or 2 after I last spoke with the dealership I decided to reach out to their sister dealership with 2 simple questions....are you selling the BS at MSRP and are you accepting outside financing. She answered yes to both immediately so I decided to take a trip in. Test drove again which I didn't mind, white Bronco which was nice but not a huge fan of (except for that one posted on the forum recently with the red white and blue lettering!). I inquired about the Area 51 and Cactus Gray in transit to dealership I had all ready spoken to...they said they would ask and they came back with A51 has a buyer (which I assumed was ME!) and the CG had some one currently putting a deposit down. So while I'm at the dealership inquiring about the vehicles in transit, the salesman I was dealing with at the other dealership calls me, I ignore, he texts me to give him a call, I step out and make a call and he tells me the last price we spoke of they can do just a little better on but I would have to make the deposit on it and basically begged me to give him all 5 stars on his review because there have been some bad ones in the past that are holding up promotions. I tell him I'll give him a call within the hour. I tell the dealership I'm at that I'm not set on the white Bronco and to let me know about the other colors coming in. On the way home I text the original salesman stating that I put a deposit on a Subaru that night. He asks me what they can do for me to do business with them....I say MSRP and use my own financing.....and magically all of a sudden that's completely fine! Oh and the whole "hook me a up with a great review blah blah blah". I agree I'll hook him up with a great review ? and tell him I'll be in to put the deposit down. I also asked about the dealer add ons would be sold with the vehicle without any upcharge and he agreed to throw in the all weather mats as well as the seat back mats but not the wheel lock lugs, which didn't bother me. It still bugged me that I would be purchasing from this dealership, I would have rather went through their sister dealership, but I didn't know if cluing every one in on the situation would blow up the deal.

Sorry for the long winded response, I picked up my 22 BS BB A51 with convenience and tow this morning. Sat through the warranty rant to which I told the finance guy I'll run it by my wife (I'm not married) and get back to him.
I'm really happy with that BS, I'm def going to enjoy it, but the experience just sucked. Like I've said before, buying a car should be for the most part enjoyable and I can't say this truly was. Did playing one dealership against their sister dealership kinda feel good? YES! but honestly that second dealership deserved the sale more. And now I'm torn on whether or not I give this guy a decent review....the manager did come out for the post sale pic and stated that he was the one that sets prices and that he took some of what I said into consideration and wouldn't be selling vehicles over MSRP unless they were specialty vehicles....

All in all I'm glad I got the car I wanted, I was stuck at work because of the wind here on the east coast and couldn't get to the dealership until today. The salesman said people wouldn't stop asking about it for the 2-3 days it sat!

Glad this part is over, now to get a damn engine cover and possibly the hood sound deadening material!

If you read all this you're absolutely insane. Hope every one enjoyed their Monday, hopefully off of work and enjoying some nice weather!
Looks like you did good! Enjoy the car!

Your experience today sounds similar to one I had with the (never, ever use) Napleton bunch here.

In the end you got what you wanted, that’s great! Not so great the crap you had to go through to get it. Any possibility of giving the other dealer your service business?

Definitely considering this, but have to do more research to see if their service department is reliable

Out of curiosity... Does anyone here actually finance with Ford Financing? Is it even worth considering vs going to your conventional bank?

We did. First time. We got the promotional finance rate they had back when we ordered in September. 1.9% for 60 months if I remember correctly.

Yeah I have def seen a few people mention that they have. I knew it didn't look good when I told Fords finance guy what my rate was and he said " WOW, that's an aggressive rate..."

When I ordered mine in March of 21, Ford offered 0% for forty eight months and .9% for sixty.

In November of 21, the Ford rate for sixty months has gone up to 1.9%. I reminded them of the rate at time of order and got the .9%

Ford has price, rate, and incentive protection on special orders. Whichever is best for you then or now, you get. But you may have to remind them of it.

That sounds like one heck of a deal for sure. 1.9% interest rate sounds like a dream for me. I've been paying over 3% with my current financer, and it's a serious drag. I can't wait for my BS to get here soon enough so I can look into Ford Financing. Curious if Ford offers any type of GAP insurance. Though I don't expect the value of the BS to devalue quickly, I usually never go without it just in case.

I got Ford factory financing for my Badlands.
0.9% for 60 months and the $500.00 bonus, that was March 2021

I get Gap/Replacement insurance through my car insurance, it's about twelve bucks a year. Don't get it at the dealer.

Wow how times have changed......definitely dealer is trying to maximize their profit so up to them. Honestly, as much as I want things I have principles and would not give a penny to those I feel are full of it. I would add them to the list never to buy from and also share that on Google review.

So I was in market for BS BB, wanted the Area 51 but the one in transit to dealership was spoken for (I'm assuming there was deposit on it). They had same vehicle just carbonized gray on the lot and we talked leasing but I ultimately didn't pull the trigger. I recently was pre-approved through my bank and the Area 51 that was previously spoken for is now available.

I talked to the guy at the dealership today and he said they wouldn't be accepting outside financing on this vehicle..
After making 60 ontime payments with Ford Motor Credit, I proudly presented a note from Ford stating I was pre-approved for $75,000. I thought to myself "they are going to take me seriously!".

That is the last thing they wanted to see. I was forced to use their financing. When I said I wanted to use Ford Motor Credit he showed me a line that said "Ford Credit" on his screen. "See? Its Ford Credit..".

Another trip back to the managers and he comes back with new financing papers. "Here you go we are matching the rate from Ford!". Rates were sky high. So we wrote the Ford rate iun a circle below and someone initialied it.

I pressed him on it. Here is the thing I cannot believe he admitted..

We don't like using Ford Credit because if you pay off the loan early we have to pay back some of the dealer portion of the deal back to Ford.

Interesring! I do remember one conversation with one of the finance guys when I told him that I'll use Ford credit but I'll just refinance with my bank the next day, to which he responded "you can do that, but we recommend you make payments for at least 6 months..."

Again, buying a car should be enjoyable, I understand negotiating price. That's completely normal, but some of the tactics dealerships use are down right immoral. I honestly was really pissed when the finance guy told me (after telling me multiple times that I wouldn't be able to use outside financing) thar they would accept my outside financing but they would have to sell me the car $5k over sticker. And on top of that he claimed the reason being was the added risk of accepting my financing!
