Just wanting to see some stats from the members here. My '23 does not have the issue, so I'm stumped as to why some do, and some don't.
X2 almost 3,000 miles on it knock on wood no brake noise yet now the squeak/rattle in the dash which seems like close to the windshield and plastic defroster vents is a different story.

29,000+ miles, brakes work fine and have lots of time left at last check. If you keep tapping brake pedal as you back up you get “woo woo” sound, works great as reverse warning system ???
Haha. Mine seems to have worked itself out somehow over time. Either that or I’ve just gotten real used to it.. ?

I have owned my 2023 BS Outer banks since new, and have never experienced the dreaded brake whale moan, so I thought I'd start a poll to see how many here have had this issue.
At (SUPER) low speed (just getting off the peddle), I get a little groan if you will. They stop on a dime, all I really care about. When they get "close", I plan going the Power Stop drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pad route. Might even paint the calipers.

‘21 BL here, moaning since 10k miles. Last TSB in 2023 applied, no change. Still on original brakes. Haven’t bothered to take it back in, just accepting it for now.

Just another data point, when I lived in Denver, CO I very rarely had the noise, basically only after it rained/snowed. Now living in the St Louis, MO area I have it all the time. I think rust forming on the rotors in high humidity/wet conditions is the primary trigger.

Seems to be quite a few posts on this topic, my rig only complains (like I do) when it's in the single digits. I just send it
