Cup holder insert.

I have a Base model. The cubby tray was illuminated with an LED like this one. Pictured is an amber one for a future project. If you look closely you can see it connected to the cigarette lighter socket.

I also have a base. Bought some USB lights to light up the cubby space since I dont use all of the ports.

I got it on Amazon. Pack of 2 for 7.99. I got blue light but I believe there are other colors. Just plug it in the port and thats it. No wires.

Anyone tried swapping the Outer Banks cup holder part for the other? I did this with another car. Swapped in optional heated/cooled cup holders from a higher optioned trim.

It'll fit in there, but you'll have to run a power wire because they didn't put the plugs in for it. If yours is like mine, there is also already a lens facing the cubby that can accept another LED module, that again, Ford didn't leave wires for.

FYI the console pulls up at the front to release the cover. Lots of connected harnesses so be gentle.
