Just bought a 23 badlands. There is a creaking noise on my dashboard just behind the screen that is driving me crazy! Is this common? What have you done to get rid of this? Please help before I go crazy! ?

I have a squeky dash as well on my 2023 BS. Currently at about 6,000 miles. It's probably due to the materials used and the level of fit and finish in the final assembly.

While some things on the BS are inexpensively made (I generally don't have a problem with this), others are cheaply made (which i do have a bit of a problem with). Just seems to be the nature of manufacturing these days. Every last penny of cost is engineered out of products these days.

I do like my BS. It's the right size, comfortable and gets decent mileage. Overall, it does what i ask of it (which is to be a daily driver).

Do you think the creaking noise is coming from the space marked in red around the 8” screen? Don’t remember if the space includes the top portion.

When you are driving and you get the creaking noise, press gently on the 8” Display screen. If pressing stops the noise, you can obtain thin dense foam (in gray or black) and using a credit card or a plastic trim tool, force in the foam just until it’s no longer visible. Others posted that worked for them.

I had a similar issue that I traced to the dashboard. Note that top of the dash is several pieces of plastic, offering many opportunities for rubs, squeaks, creaks, clicks, etc. Have someone else drive the car and put your hand on different areas of the dash to narrow it down. Once you find the two pieces that are rubbing to make the noise you can cram something between them so they no longer touch. I purchased a roll of adhesive-backed felt tape and used a trim tool to tuck it between all the parts rubbing together.

Thank you! This is very helpful!

It’s actually behind the screen where I’m hearing squeaky noises. Thank you!

I notice something like you are describing sometimes on especially cold or especially hot days when I first start a ride. I figure it is the windshield and dash making temperature adjustments. It typically stops after a little while.

Try reaching just above the plexiglass covering the instrument panel and where it meets the top of the dash. There is a bit of a gap there and I've found that pushing in on the plexiglass a little stops the squeak. I've been meaning to get a small piece of vacuum hose, cut a slit in it, and then fit it over the part where the dash meets the plexiglass to form a barrier but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I noticed a rattling noise on my 23 and found out it's the plastic vents up by the windshield for the defroster. I was on a bumpy road and noticed it so a grabbed a hold of the plastic vent and the rattle went way.Let go and the rattle came back,i'll let them know about it when i get my first oil change until then i'm not worried about it!!

Hi Kester! I can look into your Bronco's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?

Pressing gently on the screen worked for me.

Hey Guys,
I had the same problem with my 2022 Big Bend after I bought it. A creaking noise around the center console.
There were others in the forum with the same issue. Here is the thread:

https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/infotainment-center-vibration.7517/#post-133984

I took it in with a video I made of the noise and they couldn't find it. I was happening mostly on the freeway.
.
I never got a chance to take it back in and it disappeared after about 3-4 months and I don't hear it anymore so I just let it go. My guess is that something was overtightened and then it loosened up on its own???

I'm sure this isn't very helpful but it's all I got.
Cheers,
