Silly question that I hope I can get a quick answer for. I literally just picked up my brand new 2025 Big Bend. Love it. But I was trying to configure the gauges on the dash. When i press the menu button I see audio and settings. I go into settings and the configure gauges button is greyed out. How can I get that activated? I am sure this is a stupid question and I am missing something simple. Thanks!

Had the same issue on my Outer Banks. Turns out the Gauges are only available in Sport and Offroad mode.
This. You get two additional gauges in these modes. In Sport mode it defaults to a turbo boost gauge and a voltmeter. I forget what the other options are. Maybe an oil temp gauge or oil pressure gauge.

Here’s a refined guide to the Temp, Turbo, Battery, and Fuel gauges in the 2025 Bronco Sport Badlands—including how they behave in different G.O.A.T. Modes (e.g. Sport mode). Based on the official owner’s manual and owner feedback:

Gauge Descriptions (per Owner’s Manual)

The digital instrument cluster includes these primary gauges:

1. Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge
• Tracks engine coolant heat.
• If temperature nears red zone, the system may reduce power or activate cooling fans. Full red prompts driver to stop and cool engine.

2. Turbo Boost Gauge
• Displays manifold boost pressure from the 2.0 L EcoBoost engine.
• Useful to monitor turbo activity under acceleration.

3. 12 V Battery Gauge (Voltmeter)
• Shows battery system voltage.
• Helps monitor electrical system health, useful when high electrical demand (e.g. accessories, idling).

4. Fuel Gauge & Distance‑to‑Empty
• Displays approximate fuel level and remaining range.
• Live updates but can be affected by inclines; low‑fuel alerts at 50, 25, 10 and 0 mi

Mode‑Based Behavior & Customization

According to owners and forums:
• In Normal or default modes, the cluster shows the standard set (typically Fuel, Temp, Speed, Tachometer).
• When you shift into Sport or Off‑Road mode, additional gauge slots open up.

Sport mode:
• Cluster defaults to Turbo Boost and Battery (voltmeter) gauges.
• You can customize the additional gauges—often options include oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant, etc.—via the cluster settings menu.

Off‑Road mode, you similarly gain two configurable positions.

The “Configure Gauges” option only becomes active in these enhanced modes (Sport or Off‑Road).

Using Gauges in Sport Mode
1. Activate Sport Mode via the drive mode selector (part of the G.O.A.T. Modes® system).

2. The display will refresh—revealing Turbo Boost and Battery gauges by default.

3. To switch one of the two extra gauges:
• Use the steering‑wheel cluster controls.
• Navigate to the “Configure Gauges” menu (only visible in Sport/Off‑Road).
• Choose from available options (e.g. oil temp, oil pressure, coolant).

4. Monitor performance:
• Turbo Gauge informs throttle behavior and boost levels.
• Battery Gauge alerts you to voltage drops when strain increases.
• If you add Oil Temp/Pressure, you get deeper insight into engine load and safety.

â›˝ Fuel Gauge & Range Awareness
Always visible across modes, with live Fuel Gauge and Distance‑to‑Empty readout

Watch for low‑fuel warnings and remember gauge accuracy is affected by vehicle angle.

? Practical Tips
• Use Sport Mode + configured gauges to keep an eye on performance under hard acceleration.
• Use Off‑Road Mode with gauges like coolant or oil temp during trail driving.
• Return to Normal Mode for streamlined display when extra data isn’t needed.
• If “Configure Gauges” is grayed out, ensure you’re in Sport or Off‑Road mode.
