I own a 22 Badlands that is currently being repaired for some loose a and c pillar panels. The dealer gave me a 24 Outer Banks with the Black Diamond Package as a loaner.

First thing I notice is how smooth the transmission is, and how smooth and quiet the vehicle is. There are no interior rattles at all. I also get the hood shaking issue on my Badlands, but the hood on the Outer Banks does not move a bit.

Did Ford make big changes between these models and model years to notice such a difference?

It just feel like the Outer Banks is built a lot more solid than my Badlands.

New all season tires are likely much quieter than the all terrains that come stock on the Badlands. And newer cars should have less squeaks and rattles in general. How many miles on your BS?

I have 30k on my Badlands. The Outer Banks I am driving has Continental AT tires. I have Falken Wildpeaks

I had the Continentals on my Badlands for a few days before they were swapped out for the Falken Wildpeaks. The Continentals were very smooth and quiet. I noticed an immediate difference in road noise and ride once the Wildpeaks were on. Also, my mileage went down slightly with the Wildpeaks.

Also, I have the bug deflector on my Badlands. The hood shakes with speed. Prior to the hood deflector, I didn’t have the hood shake.

My 21 badlands also has wild peaks, which I love! I don't get any sense of rattles or sounds from the sport, and any noise from the tires is nominal. Love every aspect of my rig!

I feel they did work on a few fixes with the outer bank I didn’t get a say in what one I wanted other then want to be safe getting from point A to point B. And not spend a lot. Next day signing docs and put into 2024 ford bronco sport (outer bend) from home to the office 1100km drive I only spent $70 Canadian. Went from bare dry road first day to day two freezing rain, ice and compact snow and black ice. Not once did I go into slippery mode. I did Turn off assisted brakes, and lane keeping. Only issues I had is the block heater cord. Hopefully they fix this soon. I live in an area that if I plug in and hood latch is open I’ll wake up to no engine.

DaveNorton - Just checking in. Your 21 Badlands does not have any dashboard rattles or noise, and also have heavy shifting?

No rattles, or noise from anywhere in the vehicle. As for shifting, it seems smooth in all ranges. Do you mean for "heavy shifting" ,a clunk ,or a lurch as it cycles thru? Then , no, I barely notice shifts.
I can sense a different feeling/rpm vs speed, in different GOAT modes. But all as expected and nothing raises any concerns.
