I was looking for a smaller car than a suv when I bought my sport. I was looking at a mazda miata, and decided that was just too small to be practical. So I started looking at convertables with back seats. I was at Ford to look at a convertable mustang when the dealer drove us across the lot in a bronco sport. I liked it because it was small and didn't waste room on the back seat. I good the molle straps lots more useful, but then I just have a back seat just in case. I rarely expect to have a human back there.
What I wish more cars did, is offer air ventilated seats in addition to the heated seats. I live in Houston.. my last 3 vehicles have all had heated seats I never used. But my legs sweat all the time and I wish ventilated seats options were easier to find.

I agree they have some nice features. What burns me up is the little things like a glove box light, lit cup holders or engine cover that they took out. My wife's $22,000 Ecosport has all of these, and my $40,000 + Obx didn't have any of them.
The lack of those little things make it look cheap... I agree, I?m still fighting against the dealer for the engine cover... I thought they owed me that until now that I read our post

Glass is heavier for shipping, was scarce during Covid and could still be in some instances AND cans seal better than bottles.
Pick up a case of empty cans for return and a case of empty bottles for return. Imagine the cost difference for shipping prior to getting filled. Huge money.
People are inconsiderate pigs when it comes to litter in the wild.

That is the funniest thing I’ve heard all day.

I did notice after giving a buddy and his gf a ride the other day, when someone in the rear unbuckles and the car is still running or in park, a notification and diagram pops up on the dash. Nice way to police your passengers.
It also shows an icon when you start the car indicating how many passenger have seat belts on

I think one feature that goes unnoticed, because you don’t use it every day, are the flood lamps in the liftgate.

Also can’t beat the rubber floor of the Badlands.

The amount of legroom for driver and passenger, plus headroom. This was a big selling deal for me.
That IS nice but you must NEVER have anybody in your back seats. Only children or little people can fit there. Terrible and embarissing.

It is not terrible or embarrising when I/we bought the vehicle knowing we were not buying it for the back seat. If the back seat was an important detail then another vehicle would have been chosen.

That's good. Since we go out with other couples from time to time we either follow them or we go in their car since the back seats in the BS are so small and uncomfortble for normal adults.

I'm curious; did you try sitting in the back seat before you bought the car?

Hmmm. I wonder if that sales person did this on purpose?

I did. That was yet another reason why we bought it, as many will not ask us to drive!

And as a side benefit, we have less weight, so better fuel mileage increase, right?
Man, you really got it figured out.

My wife tried playing the small backseat card when thinking about car seats and booster seats. The car seat actually fits just fine and plenty of room for our daughter to get in and out and move around. But it was like she was having a hard realizing that our 5-year old daughter won’t be in a car seat forever. ?‍♂

Not really.

You would have at least a few more years past 5 years old before legroom is an issue, right? And as I see it, even at 10 years old, there would be plenty of leg room for her sitting behind the front passenger seat, with it moved slightly forward.

In any conversation I have with someone who has an opinion on a decision I made pertaining to a purchase I made is to hold out my hand, palm facing up. When they ask why I do this, I explain that if they place a significant amount of money in my hand (towards the car payment in this example), then their opinion counts. Otherwise, no, it does not.
