Vehicle(s)
Bronco Sport aka "Spark Plug"
It all started watching a Rural Farm District episode
who doesn't love horses and tractors, right?
advertisement for a product plays
it's Flitz
paint, fiberglass and plastic restorer
wheels start turning
Spark Plugs headlamp lens is gianormous
how does one do preventative maintenance on that monstrosity
anyone have a measure in mind to prevent the lens from fading
would a protective film applied to the lens be beneficial?

People do apply PPF on headlights. I usually just keep "waxing" them as part of the overall paint care. Colorado is pretty bad for the front end of cars because of the sand. I have at times also used my buffer and some compound on the headlight lenses followed by some sort of protection which was also applied to the paint.

Headlight restore kits are at Walmart, several types , several manufacturers.
I did my winter beaters head lamps.
The kit was $27 and made them like new,
Three years now and they still look good.
I remember the Ford factory head lamp covers that I put on my F-150, cost was $40-50 I think. They lasted two years.

I had a 5 year old Silverado that had plastic headlights and when I sold it the headlights were as clear as when I bought it, even with out applying any treatments. The headlight material has improved in the last 10 years

True that.
my 2010 F150s head lights are as clear as new, and it is an outside truck. they got the same wash and wax as the paint.

My 2006 Escape lights look like new and have never had covers or special products applied.
