In case anyone is struggling with what to use...

So I ordered and received a "Car Backseat Trunk Organizer - Auto Hanging Seat Back Storage - Multipurpose Cargo Accessory" from Amazon. It hangs from the back head rests. I was surprised at how sturdy it was and the pockets are bigger than I expected. Could easily fit jumper cables in big pocket, large emergency kit, etc.

The velcro on the back is what makes it. It really adheres to the back of the seat. I went ahead and took off my Cargo protectors on the upright seat portion but I had been prepared to use heavy duty velcro circles if necessary.

Have not decided what all I am going to use it for (with so much room in spare well) but I like the options. For $25 was not expecting much but was definitely pleasantly surprised!

I just ordered this cargo organizer from Amazon today. I chose this one because it only stands 7.5 inches high, which means it will fit underneath my CMS that I've been currently rocking with the table flipped to the back.

This video is what sold me on it:

I was bummed I didn't get the CMS either, but I am really digging these insta crates that I picked up at Costco for about $7. I bought 4, 2 for storage and 2 to act as lids. Should I need additional storage I just expand the other 2. Very inexpensive solution and more durable than folding cargo organizers.

Thanks for the tip @BabyBro -- between the color and pattern, those crates match perfectly. The first pic was a bit confusing until I realized the 'lids' are actually two additional crates folded down.

Perfect @BabyBro ! That's exactly what I thought would happen since the area gets narrower where that wiper mount is. But 4 on the floor looks like it was ideally made for the vehicle. I wouldn't trust setting more on top of the four anyhow unless something secures it to the side clips. Call me superstitious but I hate driving around with unsecured stuff above the seatbacks! :)

Amazing how well those Costco crates fit. Were you able to find them in store? If you order online it says "Delivered color will vary and cannot be determined at time of order".

I found them at my local Costco for $6.99/ea and purchased four. The only 'issue' I had with the " @BabyBro Cargo Management System" was not raising the cargo mat -- the crates won't fit. But once you do that, the two crates against the back seat sit nice and snug and won't shift. The other two crates act as 'lids' and you have space for grocery bags, etc. which won't slide much thanks to the two expanded crates.

They have a ton at my Costco location, they come in a variety of colors, well at least the top part of the crate. But my location just happened to have only black.

Nice! “ the baby bro CMS”?. I’m digging it!

They do fit nice and snug, only when heavy items are in donthey start to slide around, but I have solved that by using bungie cords to secure them, but only when I have heavy items do I use the cords.

I like that substitution!! Don't really see how one could obtain the storage underneath like the OEM CM system has but hey those look like they could work for some that just want a basic crate functionality.

Could you just turn them on their side? Open end facing out the back?
