I’ve had my Badlands for a few months so far. Having a blast on road, and off road on access roads and bog roads.
So, car washing products.
I’ve been using the Armor All ceramic wash and I’m not impressed. It leaves a white film behind that you have to buff out.
looking into other options like a foam gun or something.
any ideas out there?

If you have a pressure washer, get a foam cannon but get one with a wide base so it isn’t tippy.

There are some “ceramic” sprays that you can apply while drying, if you are trying to keep it simple.

I’m a fan of CarPro Reset. Meguiar’s gold class car wash is good as well if you want something you can pick up at many stores. Neither are specifically made for foam cannons but both could work that way. A different shampoo is likely better if you intend to Foam. I don’t have a recommendation for that.

It is generally better to avoid wash and wax/protect style products.Typically, it’s better to get two focused products than one that may do neither job well.

For inexpensive but pretty good protection, Turtle Wax Seal N Shine is difficult to beat. The Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Wax is more durable but also more expensive and difficult to use. You don’t need to apply either of those every wash. You could use something like their Ceramic Wet Wax when drying to maintain the protection.

If you’re willing to pay a bit more, Gyeon and CarPro make some good stuff.

I've had great success with any Maguires product I've used gold class, no issues. Also used voodoo ride, I'd received it as a gift, same deal went on rinsed off without issues. Whichever is accessible and cheaper that's what I'm using. I've found the Maguires ceramic coating is a nice follow up. Wash, rinse, apply the ceramic coating to wet paint, spread it around with a microfiber cloth, and rinse. Dry like you normally would. Goes on quick and easy.

If you hand wax consider buying an orbital polisher. It will change your life :) the wax goes on in a third or less of the time. It will also come off easier when it dries.

Having the orbital will also give the option of doing a polish when desired. The up front costs and learning curve can be off putting but you'll be amazed by the results.

YouTube is loaded with videos to teach you how to use a polisher, it looks daunting but just jump right and you'll be fine.

A polisher is much different than a buffer. If you've heard horror stories about buffer mishaps don't worry, polishers are much more user friendly.

Have used several brands over the years. Mothers and Maguires are long standing favorites. Had used Chemical Guys for a while but I went all in on Griot's Garage after ceramic coating my last car. They have a whole suite of ceramic products and I have been very happy with the results. I just finished ceramic coating my wife's Escape. Used their foaming wash, surface prep and synthetic clay mitt ... much easier than standard clay bars. Finished up with their orbital buffer and their All in One ceramic wax. Looks and feels like glass!

I second Chemical Guys, though, I try to buy their stuff from Amazon.
