For now it's just clips, there is a M8 or something bolt that can be usedHow are these attached? I am still waiting on delivery of my BS so I don't have a reference on what is under the hood ?

Thank you for the clarification. What are the dimensions you have on this design? It could look cool if it tapered on one end and also make it span over a longer distance. Also what do you think you have in material and would you be willing to sell a set?For now it's just clips, there is a M8 or something bolt that can be used

I like the look of that, but, I would remove the Bronco oval. No need for that imho. There is already enough badging on the Sport itself.cybertruck it like this?
this one is 110mm long 22.4mm tall at the peak, 13mm deep (depth is going to change if ill change mounting to use the bolt).
~$1 in material
I will be willing to share when I'm happy with the product. Price for the people that helped with ideas will be material + shipping from 16201.

I like this design a lot, minus the Bronco lettering and it is pretty much spot on. Upload pictures as soon as you get a test set printed and installed on your Bronco Sport.cybertruck it like this?

I'm curious to know how you would print this to limit delamination? I'm guessing the rear of the part would be on the build plate? If you have a belt printer, the bottom could be on the belt and the layers would be at a 45, which could make the print more robust.cybertruck it like this?

I would think Carbon fiber-infused PETG would be a better option(as it has a higher glass transition temp.), but still not as good against the effects of UV radiation as ASA, from what I understand.Carbon fiber infused PLA will handle this application...or there is always a way of making a mold from cheaper plastic and casting.
I was searching for another 3D topic and stumbled on this one. I don't see a use for this but might be something to play around with.
Annealing will certainly help to prevent delamination. Hurts for mass production though, since I'm guessing you'll be getting requests once you get it spot on. I like the new design.@Hokie1991 I'm not going to use anything that's not safe. It's like any chain, strap, you inspect it before you use it. My personal (plain) PLA experience is that heat is it's kryptonite. I can also say that i've made carbon fiber infused part for a headlight mount on the motorcycle for a buddy and it's been holding on for a year without complaints. I get that forces are different, I'll wear safety glasses while somebody holds my beer during testing
GM also said aluminum trucks will never make it...
@cklapka i was going to lay it flat, maybe bake it in salt powder after.
This is utility friendly version

Definitely better imho. This is utility friendly version

These would be useful, especially for kayak tie downs. Would make it so much easier. I know nothing about the material, so couldn't speak on how it would hold up or it's strengthBeen busy, printing utility version now.
I personally do not like the house roof ending on the one with the bronco sign, but did not really know how to end it. Tried just a rectangle and it did not look correct either.
I don't know about carwash chemicals but the material is stronger than our fenders... kinda sad.
