One thing I like about this set up is that it seems a better use of space behind the sync screen than say, an organizer.

Not to mention they include ALL the tools-- that's very cool. My level of expectation is a hex key; here, if the photos are to be believed, you get a trim tool, screwdriver, wrench, AND a drill bit?!

I went to the Bulletpoint site and they have half a dozen options in addition to phone mounts-- radio mount, hand set mount, charger, etc. Whole system looks very modular and extremely customable.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but it looks super tempting.
It’s a great set up honestly and has so many options like you said. I use a iPad for work and they have a mount for one! Gonna make life sooo much easier. I almost bought the lil organizer for the back but came across this and instantly changed my mind.

can’t wait to get the GoPro mount as well to record my Everglades trips

Installed my Bulletpoint phone mount today. Goodbye cup phone. I bought a 7cm arm instead of using the short 4cm arm that comes with the kit. The 7cm is perfect. It does not come close to the screen. It allows you to put the phone in the perfect position. Great kit. Very sturdy. EZ to install.
I was able to run the ApplePlay cable between the screen and AC vent and down. It's tucked away pretty good.

Thanks. I mounted the ball stud all the way back on the mounting plate. Instead of the front like you had to do with the shorter arm.

How does their mount compare to ProClip's? I usually use their's but haven't bought one yet for the BS. I don't know how I feel about their mounting location.

I was thinking of getting one of these and mounting a dashcam on it instead of up on the windshield. It may be a shorter run to the fuse box if there is a path way from that dash panel down thru the dash, instead of up and over and down the A-pillar for the windshield mount.
Anyone tried mounting a dashcam there?

* footnote: build scheduled, and I may get my ride in January. Lots of time to contemplate these mods and plan these additions.

Hello and thank you for taking a look at my first thread created on this forum!!

On this thread i will explain how i installed the mount and give you my honest opinion.

check it out here

I needed a way to mount my phone, that is easily accessible and in view. I searched online and came across bulletpoint mounting solutions and thought that would be great for my phone and to later on mount a camera as well. So i bit the bullet and purchased. haha.

i purchased with standard shipping and it got delivered in 4 days. was supper happy getting home from work friday to see it sitting in front my door.

the kit came with pretty much everything you need to install and some.

well now time for the install which took me about 15 minutes.

first had to remove the panel behind the screen. the trim removal tool the kit came with made it super easy.
the trick was to start at the top and make your way around. popped right off

once removed, place the whole mount on top the panel to center. i unscrewed all the screws, made sure it was still centered then made my marks with a metallic sharpie.

then i used the drill bit provided to make the holes.
placed the bottom part of the mount back on with the screws, washers and bolts.

screwed the ball mount onto the top plate but before fully tightening it and screwing the top plate back onto the bottom plate, i went back to my BS and pushed the panel back into place. attached to arm to the ball mount to make sure i liked its location, thankfully i did. then tightened the ball mount and top plate back to bottom plate.

so if i had to give it a rating id say id give it a 4.5 out of 5.

phones in my face and does not interfere with the view of the road. which is exactly what i needed. the mount is super sturdy. my phone is not going anywhere.
i just wish the arm was about 1/2" longer so it would not touch the screen. it doesnt block the screen or anything, just being a little picky lol. but i will be buying a longer arm in the future just to make myself happy lol.
Agree with you that a 1/2 inch longer arm would work better, but I love the idea and the play-by-play pictures. Thank you.
