I'd really like to get one for my new 2025 Badlands, but have seen a few people say they chatter on the hood. Can those who have one please comment? We drive back and forth from CA to AZ monthly, and already got a small indentation from a rock on the windshield, on the very 1st drive!

I have the Ford Aeroskin II protector and inserted 1/2" fuel line inside the rear seal to lessen hood vibration. It has helped noticeably and at 80 mph it is now minimal.

It definitely shakes the hood more with than without. Which wasn't zero in the first place. You get used to it.

I put the aeroskin II on my ā€˜25 Badlands and it’s really reduced the amount of bugs on the windshield. I haven’t had any issues with rock chips yet. The ā€˜25 BLs have insulated hoods so the vibrations are pretty minimal. I did notice it after putting it on but it’s because I was looking for it. I’m not sure if it was already doing it before installation. But I also just installed Redline hood lifts as well which has also helped. The vibration is most noticeable in the centre of the hood closest to the windshield. It’s very minimal though and totally worth the extra protection for your hood and windshield imo.

I think ā€œrorlowā€ is on the right track; put a long piece of fuel line inside the rear hood seal. My hood had no/minimal shaking except in the local carwash where it looked like the hood would come off. I put the fuel line in the hood seal and that blower has ceased to be a problem.

I wanted to get the Aeroskin II for our BS but we have the topo hood decal and the deflector would almost abut the decal and that would look odd. Now that we’re taking delivery of our second BS this week, an Aeroskin II is back in the picture. One question, does water drain off the hood easily or does it pool against the deflector?
