I have taken some, if not all, badges off every vehicle I have owned and this is the exact technique I have always used.Heat gun and either dental floss or fishing line. Then you need an eraser wheel attachment for your power drill. A little polish/cleaner at the end. Voila'
Huh. I like the badge on mine. To each his own, right? It's crazy to me that Ford thinks these badges are somehow desirable additions to what is otherwise a stylish and well-designed vehicle.
Agreed I think the badges are a nice touch… Not too loud but stand out enough with their designs.Huh. I like the badge on mine. To each his own, right?
I’m with you. Beyond helping salespersons and buyers on the lot identify one model vs another they do nothing for me. I think part of my problem is that “Badges” is a generous term for them, they are essentially just a thick sticker with no substance on a car that is supposed to exude substance.I was able to remove the Badlands badges from my new BS with no tools other than my fingers. There was no perceivable residue left on the paint.
Obviously, your mileage may vary, but I was all prepared with an eraser wheel to finish the job, which I ended up returning to the Advance Auto Parts store where I bought it.

Mine started to wear away around the edges. A trip to my local dealer enlightened me that replacing them would be $63 each. About 5 minutes each with a heat gun and some rubbing alcohol, one would never know that they ever existed. Better spent on a lift kitIn the last few days, I've seen 2 or 3 Bronco Sports without model badges.
i.e. no Big Bend, Outer Banks, etc on the sides.
Were these missing from earlier model years?
Do people remove them?
