As someone who owns both a 2023 BSBL and a 2025 CX-50, I will say the CX-50 is quieter. However, I also can't ever remember thinking the BSBL is very noisy and we have never had to raise our voices, even on the freeway. I certainly wouldn't pass on a BSBL out of concern for noise.

I must agree with what has already been stated. My 2023 BSBL has great power and decent off road capabilities. However, the on road prowess is lacking. I live in the foothills of the Appalachians and drive a lot of twisty roads and it becomes very obvious.
Because you own and like the CX-5, I...
I had this happen with my 2023 BL. Although the running lights are LED, the turn signals & brake lights are not LED on my vehicle. The bulb is a dual filament bulb and, in my case, it was the brake light filament that went bad. I couldn't source a bulb at a local parts store so I picked one up...
I received notice both in Ford Pass and by mail. The letter instructed me to take my BS/BL to the dealership for inspection. If it was found to have the bad WW Motor I would be contacted when to return for repair. However, when I took my BS/BL to the dealership they checked it and said my WW...
Major Kong, this is a great idea. I owned a 4x4 Nissan Frontier and a rear diff vent hose extension was one of, if not, the most common mods. Nissan in their infinite wisdom had a front diff tube that ran all they up into the engine compartment but the rear diff had a little one way valve...
There, I fixed it for you.
Good that you found a replacement in the form of the Falken Wildpeak AT4w, it's a great tire. Of course they are very heavy, so heavy that many people shy away from them. But I am sure you read that already and are moving forward properly informed.

In today's modern vehicles, which are almost never completely switched off and have start/stop function, 3 years of life is about average for a flooded battery. My previous vehicle, which was purchased new, the battery died at 2 years and was replaced under warranty.
No, your vehicle was not...
I have owned 3 Wranglers and I think a lot of people just don't realize what they are buying when they buy a Wrangler. In fact, I have neighbor who recently bought one and only kept it about 6 months. Even after all the refinements to make them more soccer mom friendly, they are still an...
Did your even BS come with the tow recovery hook that threads into the bumper frame through that access point?
The recovery hook (eye) should be in every BS regardless of the trim but alas, Ford is saving a few bucks.
The manual shows it as "required" for the 1.5L, (pg. 279/280 in the 2023...
Be careful what you ask for.
I agree the NPS needs to update their policy to be more clear and concise and possibly consider newer technology. However, if people don't play by the rules they can take away the toys. Back during the peak of Covid, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) just outright...
I think most people would echo your sentiments about NPS Rangers. Two of my closest friends are retired NPS Park Rangers and they are some easy going guys.
Based on the terminology used in the letter, I suspect this letter was sent based on NPS surveillance footage, (probably a trail cam), and...
The National Park Service (NPS) defines a high clearance off road vehicle as the following:
"A high clearance 4WD vehicle is defined as a SUV or truck type vehicle, with at least 15 inch tire rims or more, with a low gear transfer case, designed for heavier type use than a standard passenger...
The hole appears to be cast so I suspect it is an engineered weep hole. I also expect the dealership will tell you that is an acceptable amount of seepage and it's coming from the weep hole as designed. I suspect they'll say the same about the shaft, normal seepage. Dealerships seem to ascribe...
Go up to the Ford Motor Company Message and hover over the Ford Motor Company name and a box will open. At the bottom of that box will be an icon that says, "Start Conversation". Click on it and start your private message.

I did the Tekonsha it was pretty easy and the T-connections are a "snap" (see what I did there?). I followed this video pretty close: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=tekonsha+trailer+wiring+for+the+ford+bronco+sport#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:10c39abc,vid:hstQYQO7m1Q,st:0
