Since October my 2021 Bronco Sport Badlands (128,000) has been going dead. Sometimes it is in the morning after sitting all night. Sometimes it is when I come out of a store and find it dead. I have to use the actual key to unlock it and use my jump starter and then it will run fine (start stop start) for days at a time and then suddenly dead again. Dealership is beyond useless. Help! They have had it in the shop since Tuesday morning. It is now Friday afternoon. A new battery was installed in November. It didn’t help.

What tests have the dealership run so far?

If the battery tests fine under a dealership load test, it could be the alternator is dying or there is a substantial current drain when the vehicle is shut off

Battery not only tests fine it is brand new. They found NO DRAW/DRAIN. This does not happen more than two times in any given week but has happened more than twice in the same day. Going on since October. If it were an alternator problem it would be evident. ?

Hello, could you please send us a message with your VIN and mileage, and I can take a further look into your vehicle concerns?

My 2021 Badlands would do the same thing, you wouldn't know when and where it would happen and became untrustworthy. My dealer did replace the battery under warranty, it did take 3 visits before they replaced it. Since replacement its been excellent.

Have you had the software recall 24S24 performed?
Ford has a recall for 465,000 Bronco Sports and Mavericks for this issue.

Had the recall done. These issues began shortly after that was done. I carry a jump starter in the car. Not ideal but the dealership is beyond clueless

It's been 2 years since my battery was replaced and it cured all the random electrical issues I was having including the no start problem that could happen at anytime.
I didn't have the recall performed until this past July when my Badlands was in for a 4WD fault.
For me the recall hasn't caused any adverse effects, I have read that it has caused problems for others and was hesitant in having it performed.

Possibly the Ford rep that contacted you can help to move things along to get your Badlands sorted out.

New battery was the first thing I had done. Didn’t help

That should give your dealer a clue about the recall being done and problems since.

Maybe try another dealer if possible.

Have them reflash. Check the battery ground.

All Ford dealers in this area suck. It’s extremely frustrating and they don’t even update me. I have to call them at the end of every work day. It sucks
