Alright, looking for some opinion here. Have a MY22 Bronco Sport, Big Bend edition w/ the 1.5L 3cyl., 77,000 miles. just had the oil pump done 1000 miles ago, and we've been good on our preventative maintenance.

I was driving on state routes & city when transmission started getting rougher and rougher, shifting hard, not going into park when i stopped for fuel, hang-shifting, accelerating felt like the brakes was on at low speeds, shifting really hard. i took it to the dealer, parked it out front, and it won't even go into reverse to leave the dealer. they did some brief diagnostics and it looks like it's a bad transmission. 9k probably to replace. they'll do more diagnostics later this week, but it's not looking good. I just spent 3000 on a new oil pump, and now a transmission replacement. When do we cut our losses and go for a different vehicle?

The time is now. 2022 BS Big Bends are retailing for under $20k with that much mileage. Average auction selling price is $16k for vehicles that don't need a transmission replacement/rebuild. You'll probably get $8k-$9k for it trading it in in its current condition and $15k max trade in value should it not need a transmission. Even if the transmission repair costs you $5k, that's a third of the value of the vehicle at auction. Not worth it, IMO.
