I had reported the problem before my regular warranty expired, and just as they were about to try the TSB that was active at that time, Ford issued a stop order. So I did have it on record as a pre-existing issue.

I was able to get the TSB before this current one done on my 2022 Badlands on April 3 and the dealer said they would cover it regardless. Only problem is … it didn’t work. When I left, it seemed like it was gone, but later that same day, I heard it coming back, and now it’s nearly as loud and frequent as it was.

I’ve emailed the service advisor to let him know and ask if the revised one they have now can be tried. No reply so far …
I reported mine way back in the warranty period as well but at that time there was no fix. When the TSBs started coming out, the dealer kept saying expired. Next time I go in for service I will probably try one more time to get the dealer to do this and if not, then I will install the Diamond Motorsports bushing kit and maybe change all the pads (front and rear) to ceramic. The brakes on my 25 year old Corvette don't make the noises this 4 year old makes and has been making since new.

I had the TSB done in early 2023, which they eventually pulled. I can report as everybody else, it didn't fix the issue. Fast forward to this spring, my warranty expiring this month, talk on here about revised TSB's, I gave my dealer a call and they applied the latest TSB fixes last week. Unknown if the issue is fixed yet, but no noise so far.

I put ceramic pads on the front some time back as I couldn't stand the brake dust the factory pads produced. Hoping the new pads they installed on the rear aren't as terrible. If they are, I'll likely put on the same ceramics I have on the front. And if the noise isn't fixed, I plan to buy the Damond Bushings.

Bonus, while in the shop for the TSB, received a new AGM battery from the latest recall. Won't complain about that on a 3 year old battery.

Thought I'd follow-up on the brakes. I would say it makes noise more often now, however, it' much quieter and shorter duration. 9 out of 10 backups out of the garage, it will make a slight moan when brakes are first applied, but as said above, doesn't return after the first brake press vs before it would make the sound all the way down the driveway. We've had some cool and damp mornings when it would normally howl. Also doesn't seem to matter as much for cool and damp weather as it sounds largely the same when it's hot and humid. Seems like an improvement overall, but the real test for me won't come until fall weather returns.

I finally gave up on the dealer, installed ceramic pads all the way around, new rotors all the way around and installed the Diamond Motorsports brass bushings in the rear and what a difference. We have been pretty humid out here the last few weeks and the whales have been quiet (although mine would make noise when dry as well) and no more gobs of black brake dust all over my front wheels in a week. Front brakes are a hell of a lot quieter as well. Hopefully the trend continues.

I have a 2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend, and I know a lot of people have experienced the same issue with the brakes making a terrible noise when backing up. I’ve read that some have had success getting it fixed through their dealer, but I’ve been to mine two or three times with no resolution. Has anyone found a reliable fix or have any advice on how to get the dealership to actually address it?”
I've posted this b4, this is the route I would consider
