Auto shut off and restart

I have an F-250 with 2 batteries that I seldom drive, so I put a solar panel on the dash to keep the battery charged. If you park outdoors, that is a good option. As long as the panel is under 10 watts, you don't need a charge controller.

Does that solar panel provide charge to both batteries at same time?

Both batteries are used to start that hog of a diesel engine, so yes, they are wired together. I use a 20 watt panel and a charge controller and plug it into my cigarette lighter. Unlike the Sport, the F-250 cigarette lighter is always hot.
