That is quite amazing! The 302 in my Comet and Maverick was a b#@$h to get long tubes in. And, I had to wrap them to keep from melting the plug wires! Running it uncorked was a blast as I'm certain it is for you in the Mustang! I know I've got pics somewhere of the Maverick or my son does. I'll look for them and post em. BTW, I ran a single plane offy hi rise with a 650 Holly. 3" outlaw hood scoop.
I've only ran it with Open Headers when i first put the engine in the car. Never drove it with open Headers as it was REAL LOUD.I have a 3" Exhaust with Magna Flow Mufflers ending before the rear axle. I put some Resonators on it Right Before Thanksgiving but i don't think it's much Quiter which is what i was going for. My Brother had a 74 Comet with a 351 Cleveland in it but the Shock Towers were cut back some for clearance for the 351 Cleveland. My cousin has the Comet now with a 306 SBF with Trick Flow heads. He did have a Vortech Super Charger on it but sold it to our buddy. My cousin had a Pretty Basic Flat Piston .030 Over 351 Cleveland with 4 barel Closed Chamber Heads in it with a Torker Intake 750 Holley Comp 294 Solid Lifter Cam [Not a Roller Cam] 4.56 Gears and a C-4 with i forget What Stall Converter and it ran 12.30''s @108 mph all day long.

She’s a survivor. It been in the family since new. Originally my grandfathers, then my dads, and now my brothers. 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner. I’ve got pictures of it in my grandfathers driveway, my dad’s and my brothers.

Sweet! I get you about uncorked with the 460! I bought the Maverick from a repair shop who took it from it's previous owner for non payment of work. I know it was bored 30 over and had a mild cam but we (son and I) never took the heads off to see what internals were. It was pretty healthy tho. We put a shift kit in the c-4 and a B&M shifter and ran 3.24 gears in back, if I remember correctly. Never got it on the track sorry to say. Oh, I had borla mufflers and turn downs also before the rear axle. Back in the early 1990's to the mid 2000s San Bernardino, Ca had a 3 day event called the Route 66 Rendezvous. Cruising the city and on the Saturday of the event they had open header cruising and contest for loudest vehicle! Unbelievable fun for gearheads.

Are the “Steelies” still available as an optional wheel in 2025? I can’t seem to find the option on the builder for the BS BL anymore.
They dropped the Steelies with Falken WildPeaks and you have too order the Sasquatch package to get 235's.

They are only available on the Heritage Edition and are standard and white instead of Carbonized Gray.

Thank you both. I’m surprised. I thought they would be more popular; one of the more distinctive design feature options of the BS IMHO.
