I moan about those headrests every time I have to move the front seats forward to lay the back seats down...

And just now realized that I can remove those damned things. I will never have any rear seat passengers.

Lol, thank you for this.
Mine have been out since day 1. I did the same with the Escape.

I’ve pulled them from my last four cars. They go into a bin in the garage until I sell or trade that car.

You might be right; we'll see! It is supposed to arrive Thursday. On Amazon though a lot of products look like they are manufactured in exactly the same place, so I can't honestly tell if there is any difference at all between different unknown brand names.

Not to hi-jack the thread . . . for all you guys with fixed head rests, there was a write up some time back of some one who figured out how to make them folding. Apparently, the folding mechanism is in the head rests, Ford just deleted the button to make them work — probably saved money on the buttons and cover cutouts in the cover material.
Don’t know if Ford has changed the internals over the years which would make the fold down work.

Just poked at mine, and the covers are glued on. Zippers would've made easier to look into. I also poked & prodded a bit, I couldn't feel any internal protrusions or anything else that would indicate a hinge mechanism.

Although a Copart run might be in order, I'd still have to have the covers swapped to keep them matching, assuming the dimensions of everything are still the same.

Still & all, I'd just rather have a dummy post for the cover mounting and delete the headrests altogether.

And then you can add reviews...I trust none of them.
Totally off-topic, but I think I found your doppelganger on the Slate Truck forums:

This is the one I put in my '23 OBX. My stepson has one installed in his '24 OBX. Easy install and look good. Both of us are very happy with this product. (Tip- You can put one bracket on the other headrest and fold down 1 seat without removing the cover)
