Any recommendations for a faraday pouch/bag?

I have bought two different brands and both failed. And by fail I mean having the fob inside the pouch, sealed up and I'm able to unlock, start and drive the car. I thought one would be useful to keep my fob in in the rare event I'd want to keep it in the car.

Make sure you are putting it in the right place in the pouch. My bag has a main compartment and a separate sleeved compartment sewn in to the back side of bag. I have to put the fob in the sleeved compartment to prevent communication.

Both only had one pocket.

Another option purchase faraday cloth and make your own, or line a small box to place under your seat. Places like dollar tree/store? $1.25 for a cheap box or tin big enough for it. Was a real concern with dodge vulnerability in their fobs. Using an "ipad" device they could proximity code your vehicle with keys inside the house and car in a driveway.

I keep a spare fob in the car with the fob battery removed. It will still function to start/drive the car but it's passive so doesn't require a Faraday pouch for security. You can get a used fob on eBay for a spare.

I’m pretty sure if you lock the keys in the car with the combo pad, you need to enter the combo to get the car to respond to the fob.

Nope. I've even found references online that suggest this is the case with some of Ford's other cars, but based on my testing it's not the case with the Bronco Sport. I installed Ford's Perimeter Plus alarm on my car, and I confirmed the fob still works after locking inside the car using the keypad. Here's what I did:
  1. Placed fob >10 feet from car.
  2. Rolled down driver's window.
  3. Locked the car using keypad.
  4. Reached through open window and opened driver's door; the alarm sounds.
  5. Deactived the alarm by pressing unlock button on fob.
  6. Placed fob inside car.
  7. Locked the car using keypad.
  8. Reached through window and opened driver's door; alarm doesn't sound.
As long as the fob is near enough the car to activate the intelligent access system the alarm will not sound by opening the locked door from the inside. That's why I had to place the fob at least 10' away from the car to test the alarm.

I have both a Bronco Sport and an Expedition. By removing the battery from the fob neither will recognize the fob when it is out of the faraday bag even next to the start button. I keep them locked in Consol Vaults in each vehicle. The only issue is that if the battery is dead I won't be able to open the driver door with the key code.
