Hi there,

Wondering If anyone else experiences a skip/interrupt in playback when using Android Auto with Spotify.

I first thought it was my Old pixel 6 phone but just changed to a Brand New Pixel 8 phone and it stills happens. I've tried cache and app clears but obviously they aren't working. It doesn't seem to happen on Bluetooth. Just wondering if this is something I should be having looked at in warranty or is this "normal"?

I can't speak on the issue per se because I have an iPhone, but I can tell you that this is definitely not a warranty issue from Ford. It's an AA and Spotify issue.

Happens all the time with my Galaxy S23 Ultra. Definitely an Android Auto compatibility issue and not hardware related.

I have an iPhone but a quick google for the issue you are having states:

“conflict of media control between Android auto over USB and Bluetooth at the same time”

“To fix: Go into the Bluetooth settings on your phone, select the connection to your car, and disable Media audio”.

Interesting, I wanna say I tried to find this option in my settings and couldn't but I will look again. As I wondered if this was a possible cause as well. I will give it a go the next time I go for a drive and see if it makes a difference. My other troubleshooting step will be grabbing my work iPhone and seeing if it does it with it all (I'm assuming no).

Thanks for the discussion so far everyone. Glad its not just me (well I'm not super glad but...)
