There are 3 wires. Positive, negate and LIN.

Will have to go back thru the posts on the center connector ambient lighting and under footwells - my recollection is 2-wire connectors but am probably incorrect

seams ford uses a 3 wire lin setup for interior and accent lighting, which means I should be able to addjust the color of mine as well as the brightness/ unless they used a single color led and are only using it for brightness, or there is still somthing else I need to activate in forscan....

It finally worked

It was pin 31 for the bus and pin 4 for +12v.
Now I just need to put it together for good, and I think I'm going to buy the cup holder with the lights.


I'll show you how it turned out later!

I was intended to follow along, but I have a 2024 badlands, which has a different bcm number, and I can't find a wire diagram for my version. In case I burn out the BCM, I decided to go with the aftermarket kits.

First, I found a totaled 2021 outer banks at my local junk yard, bought those parts. The a/c control panel with temperature displayed. All trims after 2021 had canceled this option, but I saw from another thread that it's plug-n-play.
The central storage tray with illuminated USB ports. Which is also a feature had removed in mine. The USB port in mine has only a white line around it. It also has the empty light tube at the side that I need.
I also got the cup holder with the light kit.

That's how it looks like now. If you are interested in it, I'd be glad to write some detail about it later.

I used the BCM data from the old version, since it doesn't exist for version 2025.
In version 2025, the pins I used are marked as "unused." And those "unused" pins are what turned on the lights.
