Don't want to go there for a while with the wife about new wheels😊

These will have to do for a couple of years. The Badlands wheels are 17" Want to stay with that size when I do make a change.

I believe yours are 18"
Understand about wife haha.

However, my Big Bend wheels are 17ā€

18ā€ was an option not included on my Big Bend.

I have been looking at vehicles that might meet my needs forward.

Was thinking about changing from my 2021 BL. I looked at the new 2026 Terrain AT4, thinking about a Mazda CX-50, or a 2025 VW Tiguan SEL-R Line.
I looked at a 2024 Escape Titanium (I've previously owned 3 Escapes).

Even considered a Cadillac XT4. I wasn't locked in on 1 brand, but it was going to an SUV. No sedans for this old creaky body.

I scanned Auto Trader & Car Gurus daily for months.

Sunday, I saw a listing at my local Ford dealer that I had to check out.

2025 Badlands
5,800 miles
White
Badlands Tech pkg.
Moon roof
Cargo Management system

No warranty work done on the BL and no recalls (for now).

It had a in service date of 5-9-2025. It was owned by a senior for 5 months and then traded in for whatever reason. The salesman said he sees some crazy shit
from people buying and trading cars these days.

So, looking at it objectively, I decided another Badlands fit my needs better than anything else. We put a deal together in 30 minutes that I was happy with.

The extended warranty was a plus and the 1st owner taking the hit on depreciation.

I had an offer from Carmax for my 2021 BL, $24,000. I showed it to them figuring they wouldn't match it, but they did.

This is Gold Certified, so it has a 48 month, 48,000 miles bumper to bumper, and the 7 year 100K mile power train warranty with $100 deductible after 4 years.

I like the new Sync 4 and large screen, hopefully get use to the HVAC controls, don't like the black wheels and prefer the brown interior of my 2021.

But, life's a compromise and this purchase was also. So Ford, keep the recalls to a minimum on the 2025's.

This Badlands decal would look great against that white body.

Yes, the brown interior is very nice. And I, too, have never liked black or dark coloured wheels. More specifically I don’t like all black or all dark coloured wheels. The first black wheels I recall seeing were way back in the 70s or early ā€˜80s on a Porsche 911. But they weren’t all black, but had a bright finish lip so it actually looked okay, creating an illusion the car was moving and all you could see was the bright ring of the wheel’s outer lip. This style of wheel and variations is more widely available today. Indeed the aftermarket wheels I have on my Bronco Sport for the summer are a variation of this look.

Although I’m certainly not looking to change from my 2024 BB out of curiosity I do periodically look at other vehicles and wonder ā€œWhat if?ā€ Yesterday after I came out from a restaurant I found a car parked beside my Bronco that was an exact model and colour of a vehicle I had considered as an option if I hadn’t bought my Bronco Sport. As I looked it over for a moment I felt glad of my decision, reminded of why I preferred the Bronco Sport.

The other day I got a good look at another vehicle, a Mazda CX-30, that I had considered as an option to my Bronco. And again I was glad of my decision. This past year I’ve been very happy with my Bronco Sport and I’ve had zero issues. I’ve found it just suits my likes and needs just right.

I forgot to mention I cancelled my premium care warranty on my 2021 BL, so I'm receiving a prorated refund of about $716.

Very simple process. Called Granger and they cancelled it the same day and told me what the amount was.

Granger is an awesome dealer aren’t they! If I were to buy another Ford, it would definitely be bought through them. Unfortunately, no new cars for me for a while. I’m pretty happy with the stable of Bronco’s and the oddball Lexus. I’m still looking at motorcycles though! Not sure why, just have a bug up my butt. I was going through them every year or so for 10 years then it became every 20. It’s just time I guess.

Congratulations on the Badlands!

Both of those are great choices. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one you pick.

I was hoping the picture I sent would have you thinking we could trade wheels. The black would be great on my 2023 Big Bend.

Received my check for my cancelled warranty today. It only took 6 days from the when I cancelled till I got the check.

Outstanding service from Granger.
