Just as an assist, because I’m not the first, won’t be the last. If you find the pictured grommet, it goes between the air intake box and connected to the battery mount plate (about where the red circles are…).
Had Ford’s mobile service replace the battery on the recall, and got a check engine light the next morning. They failed to plug back in the air temp sensor on the air intake (problem 1, but easy fix).
problem 2: found the grommet on the ground after changing my oil this morning. It was trapped on the skid plate. I’m sure it pulled loose as they were replacing the battery and doing all their “maintenance” checks.

I learned from losing tools in my younger days to make a last focused sweep before i close the hood.
